Somebody help me...Please.
Ok, like many of you I have watched this whole NFL labor dispute, aka MONEYGATE as i like to call it, and there is one thing I just can't understand. Now before i delve into that let me first say I'm not on the players or the owners side. Like many of you I am on the fans side, My side. Are we gonna see cheeper tickets from this? Nope. Are we gonna see an improvement in the quality of games from sunday to sunday? Nopers. Are we gonna get greater access to the Kansas city Cheerleaders? Well someone here might but I will admit I apparently have worked to hard on my beer belly this offseason so I doubt i will.
Anywho...
What in the blue hell is decertification? I got the jist of it, I'm a smart guy. But its the idea of it.
Let me see if i got the basics of this...I am the Union, you are the owners. You want, lets say more stringent drug testing, I gripe complain and throw a hissy fit and say I dont like it because I'm looking out for the players. Then I say I want you, the owner, to do more research into saftey of the players. (I'm am not saying any of these are bad things just trying to make a point) You grip and complain and we deal again on it...Then you want to work on a new labor deal, I gripe and complain and when things look like they may not go my way I decertify, thus making it impossible for you to deal because you have no one to deal with.
Ok, here is where i have a problem. Isn't this a chicken$#!t way to do something? Am i wrong? isn't this kinda like taking your ball and going home when your losing? You all know those guys and I'm sure if your like me, when you were playing in the field next to your house or in the street, you felt like taking your ball and going home sometimes but you didn't why? Because thats the way you play sports. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose, but if you lose you stand there and take it no matter how bad it tastes.
I always kinda wonder about the slippery slope. Whats to stop the NFL from saying. "You know what. Screw it, this is to much trouble. The NFL is now defunct. But the good news is we decided to make a new league called the AFL."
Anyway, my real hope is someone could really explain decertification....discuss.

Someone help me.....please
The Watergate was an actual hotel where a scandal occurred. “Gate” was not a suffix simply attached to some sort of water related scandal. Can we all please put the over used, unoriginal, historically inaccurate “gate” suffix to rest? Spygate, moneygate, whatever-the-fuck-dumb-ass-scandalgate? All of them have gots to go.
I don’t comment on this site for the people that are against me and think that I can’t do it. I comment for the people that have always believed in me. I comment for my family, for my wife, for my mother so it really comes down to that.

I remember watching the Olympics
There was a scandal whether or not a skiier who had medaled actually went around a gate. They called it Gategate.
I'm tired of pretending like I'm not bitching, a total fricking rock star from Mars, and people can't figure me out; they can't process me. I don't expect them to. You can't process me with a normal brain.

H2E, shame on you
You coulda at least answered the guy’s question while making your point.
I love my wife, my kids, and the Chiefs. In that order. Except on game days.
The primary reason for decertification would be to file for an injunction that, if granted, would prevent the owners from locking out the players. NFLPA officials and players believe that this could be the only hope to have a full NFL season next year. Furthermore, decertifying as a union prior to the expiration of the CBA would allow NFL players to seek injunctive relief and commence anti-trust action against owners in front of U.S. District Court Judge David Doty, who has had jurisdiction over the current labor agreement since 1993. Owners have attempted unsuccessfully to have Doty removed from jurisdiction and strategically want the CBA to expire to effectively eliminate his authority, a source said.
