I hope that all the fans are keeping tabs on exactly what IS happening with all the Lockout posturing right now.  What's most interesting is that the owners have gone fairly silent, while the players just keep digging their hole.

Does anyone realize that what they are doing by continually stacking extra shit on top of the shit that was already there is only making the shit pile bigger?  Does anyone here REALLY believe that all this stuff is just for 'leverage' and will all go away shortly and a new agreement will be forged and we will get back to playing football?

"The offseason is the time when players compete to try to find a team, make a roster, establish themselves as starting players, demonstrate they can overcome injuries or otherwise prove themselves," the memorandum states. "To do this, they need the opportunity to sign with the right team, begin offseason workouts, learn the team’s system and compete before training camp begins. Absent immediate injunctive relief, it will be impossible to turn back the clock or quantify in damages these lost opportunities."

Now, on top of all that has already transpired, the players have filed a lawsuit that states that they have sustained "irreparable harm" from a work stoppage that THEY created?  It just don't get any better than this.  For any of you out there that think this thing can still be avoided...may I ask what kind of drug you are taking?  It must be quite powerful.  The players simply don't know when to stop.  It's like the little kid in the candy store that eats until he makes himself sick.  Thanks for the memories NFL.  It's really about all that will be left.
