Madden '12 Vote: Jamaal Charles, Maurice Jones-Drew Are Neck And Neck

I haven't quite figured out how I feel about Kansas City Chiefs RB Jamaal Charles being up for the cover of EA Madden '12 this year. On the one hand, it would be awesome to see a Chief on the cover. On the other hand, do we dare tempt the Madden curse?

Nevertheless, Charles moved on earlier this week beating Denver Broncos QB Tim Tebow in round one. His second round opponent, Jacksonville Jaguars RB Maurice Jones-Drew, is shaping up to be stiffer competition.

In other voting news, the race between Maurice Jones-Drew and Jamaal Charles is a virtual tie and it looks right now that either player could win by a margin of just a few clicks their direction. And when you're talking about millions of people voting for the cover, you realize how crazy it is that we can have a contest this tight.

The good news is that if he doesn't win, he avoids the Madden curse. But I still want to, at the very least, see him in the finals. As we've said before, we're not against fixing a vote. Let's test the power of Arrowhead Pride. If you haven't yet voted, go here to vote for Charles.

The second round is open until April 3rd so we'll probably post another update in the coming days.

Save Jamaal Charles and have a Chiefs player on the Madden cover. Also we be guaranteed the championship every year. How do you defeat Jesus Christ? If you kill him the field he will just raise back from the dead and than damn his opponent to heck.

I think we're safe on the curse with Aaron Rodgers on Charles side of the bracket.

Would be nice to see him at least beat MJD and overrated Matt Ryan at least.

Damn straight!

Anyone who doesn’t believe in the curse doesn’t know the history. Sometimes it can be as simple as Drew Brees leading the defending champs to a first round loss against the only team to ever make the playoffs with a losing record…. Sometimes it’s more serious. Vick broke his effing leg THE DAY AFTER THE COVER WAS RELEASED. So NO! We can’t have JC on the cover, but as Chiefs fans we need to take it a step further. If you believe in the curse then follow me in doing EVERYTHING you can to make sure Philip “Cry Me A” Rivers wins this thing. VOTE RIVERS!!!
