Adam Teicher of the Kansas City Star is the tender man today.
(OK, that sounded a little weird)
Teicher reported earlier on Thursday that the Kansas City Chiefs tendered DE Wallace Gilberry at the second round level and now he reports they've also tendered CB Brandon Carr and OT Barry Richardson.
Neither tender is a surprise as we expected the Chiefs to try to retain the rights to both players.
Carr received the first round tender, which sounds about right. The highest possible tender is a first and a third but includes more money. Richardson received a second round tender, which also sound about right. He should be fine at that level.
Both players are three years into the league so even if the next CBA includes language that brings restricted free agency back to three years, they'd be covered.
That's news on three of the Chiefs 15 restricted or exclusive rights free agents. Any guesses on who's next?
