If an agreement isn't reached by the middle of April, why don't you just start over? The players have decertified so there's no union to contend with. Why don't you all agree on a set of rules to govern yourselves, use the draft and free agency for "ANYONE" (including current players) that WANT to play. There's a lot of talent out there that has been cut by teams before and a lot of talent coming up from college and we know there are current players that want to be playing. This would allow the draft to continue and these college kids would not miss out on the chance of a lifetime, to have their names called at Radio City Music Hall either. And if some of these multi-million dollar deals for the players are not enough for them, let them use their college degrees to find employment else where. (Good luck making millions on that Phys-Ed degree) Where else in America can you have a job where you and your co-workers could get together, and I'm including union jobs here, and demand to see the financial records of your employer? If all this whining happened in the real world the owner of the company would just simply fire the employees. Why does the NFLPA think this is ok for NFL players? So owners, if the current employees do not want to "earn" a ludicrous amount of money, (amounts which are a slap in the face to the majority of Americans trying earn a living) find someone that does. This would actually save you some money on salaries because I bet quite a few people would play for less. Now on the flipside, you owners need to remember who it is that helps you make your fortunes.......us, the customer. So lower ticket prices, well all prices for that matter, because there is no way in hell a hotdog and a soda should cost $12 anywhere. We would rather pay less and watch slightly less talented football players, or maybe they wouldn't be less talented. They would probably play harder for you since you'd be giving them a great oppotunity. I for one as a fan, love the game of football, not the players of the game of football. So please keep the game of football going and bring in new employees if need be. We will still come to the stadiums and watch the games no matter who is playing. Do it owners, and earn the respect of the underpaid "hard working class".
