NFL Lockout Won't Change 2011 Schedule Release

I've had it up to here with the NFL lockout! (Photo by Scott Boehm/Getty Images)

Well, here's something I didn't think about with the NFL lockout.

When will the NFL schedule be released?

Last year it came during the week of the draft but most years it comes a little earlier in mid-April. Will the NFL lockout change any of that? Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk reports that nothing will change in that regard.

Says NFL spokesman Greg Aiello via e-mail, "The plan is to release the schedule as we normally do in mid-April.  An announcement date has not been set."

The schedule release is an excellent example of the incredible, almost insane popularity of the NFL. Keep in mind we already know the opponents. The schedule release is simply the dates on which each teams will play.

Since we're on the topic, and everyone apparently loves talking about the schedule, here are the Chiefs 2011 opponents

Home opponents: San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders, Denver Broncos, Buffalo Bills, Green Bay Packers, Miami Dolphins, Minnesota Vikings and Pittsburgh Steelers.

Road opponents: San Diego Chargers, Oakland Raiders, Denver Broncos, Chicago Bears, Detroit Lions, New England Patriots, New York Jets and Indianapolis Colts.

Home opener predictions?

[Editor's note: Wow, does it feel great talking about non-NFL lockout stuff or what?]
