More draft talk

Here are what I believe will be our best choices at the need positions when we make our first round pick at no. 21. I have logical options for each position, if there are any.

WR- Leonard Hankerson (Miami)/Torrey Smith (Maryland)

Randall Cobb (Kentucky), Vincent Brown (San Diego State) and Austin Pettis (Boise State) will probably be available in the 2nd or 3rd round for us. Charles Clay (Tulsa)TE/FB/WR could be available in the 5th or 6th , I think the Chiefs would love this type of player.

OLB- Justin Houston (Georgia)

Dontay Moch (Nevada) will be available for us in the 2nd round. Brooks Reed (Arizona), Sam Ocho (Texas)or Bruce Carter (UNC) in the 2nd or 3rd.

NT- Phil Taylor (Baylor)

I don’t believe there is another huge, strong, space eater out there comparable to him. Character could come into question. After Taylor you have Jerrell Powe (Ole Miss), Jarvis Jenkins (Maryland), Kenrick Ellis (Hampton) and Sione Fua (Stanford). All are 2nd or 3rd rounders.

ILB- Casey Matthews (Oregon)

I really don’t think he will be a 1st round pick but he is probably going to rise higher than where he is now (5th round). Others I really like at this position are Alex Wujciak (Maryland), Quan Sturdivant (UNC), Chris White (Mississippi State), Nick Bellore (Central Michigan) and Scott Lutrus (Connecticut). All of which could go between rounds 3 and 5.

OL- Gabe Carimi (Wisconsin)

I don’t think there will be another Tackle comparable after round 1 they go fast.

C- Stefen Wisniewski (Penn State)

I really would like this pick but Jake Kirkpatrick (TCU) could be in the 5th round. Alex Linnenkohl (Oregon State) could go in the 6th or 7th round. I think there will be a few Centers available.

Based off this, Gabe Carimi probably should be our pick at 21 with Phil Taylor coming in a close second. I would really be pleased with any of these choices at 21.

Do you think these are our need positions?
