Chiefs' Todd Haley On Kyle Orton's Injury Status

Stay connected for news and updates

As we noted the other day we wouldn't expect many updates on the injury to Kansas City Chiefs QB Kyle Orton (reportedly a dislocated finger). It's not in the Chiefs best interest to disclose anymore information than they have to on that -- might as well make the Jets keep guessing.

Haley was asked about Orton's status on SiriusXM NFL Radio with Rich Gannon and Adam Schein on Wednesday.

"I don't know with Kyle, as far as the injury goes," Haley said. "He's getting better, you know, he looks like he's a quick healer but he's in some pain. But we'll just have to see as the week goes on."

"Quick healer" is an interesting way to put it, perhaps a hint that Orton could indeed be available this weekend.

The Chiefs start practice on Wednesday and we'll get an update on Orton's practice status this afternoon. On Friday, the Chiefs will label his status but, like I said earlier, I would guess Orton is questionable for the weekend.
