Jackie Battle Ruled Out For Chiefs; Jon McGraw Is Doubtful
The Kansas City Chiefs have officially ruled Jackie Battle out for Week 17 against the Denver Broncos. Battle came into the week on a walking boot after suffering a foot injury and Romeo Crennel indicated he was unlikely to play. He has no officially been ruled out.
It's a disappointing end to Battle's first season with significant snaps. He finishes the year with a career-high 149 carries for 597 yards which comes out to four yards a pop. He also contributed nine receptions for 68 yards.
Also on the injury report is S Jon McGraw, who was ruled doubtful to play. McGraw hasn't appeared in a game since Dec. 11 against the New York Jets after suffering a high ankle sprain. He appeared in 10 games this season.
That's it for the Chiefs injury report heading into the Broncos game.

Hopefully this means we get to see the McClain Train
Men succeed when they realize that their failures are the preparation for their victories.
Amen to that.
The only times I’ve seen him get the ball it’s either been on the goalline (one unfortunate fumble) or he’ll get like a 7 yard gain. I’d love to see him get the rock a ton more next season, and I like how Romeo and Orton are spreading the ball around more.

Battle is still averaging 4.0 yds a carry
Seems like from watching the games it would be worse than that. Seems like he has a lot of 1-2 yards a carry then a big one.
Insert witty yet thought provoking phrase here.
Looks about right to me.
I’ve been thinking he’s been unfairly criticized around here, considering he started out as no better than #3 on the depth chart.
Jones must be running with cement boots then
Men succeed when they realize that their failures are the preparation for their victories.
I like it though.
He’s very Okoye-like. Hits people and stays up. Pounding type.
A good one to pair with Charles next year.
wonder if this will be mcgraw's last game in KC?
will miss him if so

I wonder the same
for Bowe (sadly), McClain (sadly), Thomas Jones (happily) and Brandon Carr (extra sadly) since their contracts are up after this game. I think Kelly Gregg is only on a one year contract but I’m indifferent on him.
Your eyes tell you more than any statistics can.
can add battle to that list as hes a free agent as well. feelings unsure on that one
but I would miss brandon carr greatly, and be kind of pissed actually if he doesnt return. Same with mcclain. Bowe I think is at a perfect spot to trade him, but hey, thats just me.
oh well, but I hope this isnt the last game for B-Carr in KC

Why not IR Battle for this last game?
And bring up a guy like Shaun Draun from the PS. I wanna see what this guy can do!
