The ForeverRanger Awards: Chiefs Part 1

ForeverRanger is a moniker I use on some websites and this is my end of the year awards.

There will be several categories. Offensive/Defensive Player of the Year, Offensive/Defense Breakout Player, Offensive/Defensive Worst Player of the Year, Team MVP, Team LVP, Play of the Year, Game of the Year are all included. This will cover 2 awards and each post will cover 2.

• Play of the Year: The Fumble (Vs Chargers)- Many plays were up for this award (the Hail Mary against the Bears, DBowe's Circus Catch and Dexter's run against the Raiders) but this one stands out. The Chargers drove the ball down the field for the game winning FG. Phillip Rivers just had to kneel twice and place it right where the Kicker needed it. Then it would be all over. By some stroke of luck (or some over happy Chargers fan), the Chargers fumbled the ball. Players jumped all over the ball. It looked like Rivers fell on top of it. Andy Studebaker stood atop the pile of red, yellow, blue and white and "dug" through the players and got the ball. The Chiefs won the game. I believe the spirits of past Chiefs players were on the Chiefs side.
• Game of the Year: Chiefs vs Packers- No one expected us to win this game. The biggest homer in the world did not see us even keeping this one close. New HC, new QB who had been here for a couple of weeks and a horrendous offense. The Chiefs instead played their best game of the year. Orton put up close to 300 yards and the defense made Aaron Rodgers look like Tyler Palko. The Chiefs showed they were not going down without a fight and did just that. The Packers were dominated despite the score.
