Darren McFadden Likely Out Against The Chiefs

Photo

As many expected, Darren McFadden is unlikely to play for the Oakland Raiders this weekend against the Kansas City Chiefs. McFadden suffered a foot injury against the Chiefs earlier in the season and hasn't played since.

So that means we'll be seeing Michael Bush, who actually has had a lot of success against the Chiefs as a backup. Going by Bush's career numbers, he's good for one good game a year against the Chiefs.

His career against the Chiefs:

2008: 16 carries-90 yards

2009: 9 carries-35 yards, 14 carries-119 yards

2010: 5 carries-17 yards, 25 carries-137 yards

2011: 17 carries-99 yards

So perhaps he's already used up his one-good-game-against-KC and Saturday's numbers are more along the lines of 7 or 8 carries for 40 yards or so.

I'm sorry to hear that.

Usually we contain McFadden pretty well.

This just means we’ll see more of Bush. And he kills us.

the raiders season turned when mcf got hurt. He was leading the league in rushing. with him, they would have been able to lean on carson palmer less. now they expect him to throw more, thus more picks. hopefully their d and oline don’t shove us around as usual. You never know which seymour will show up.

Bush has been solid in replacement, though.

i think carson has been throwing more than they want..sure bush is a solid banger to compliment dmf’s speed, but he’s no number 1

Hopefully Bush doesn't get that oen big urn like last game

and DJ can just keep punishing him at the line or in the backfield

Hopefully the D keeps their heads together and kicks some ass.

Would love to see us smack Palmer around the way we did Rodgers.

Be disciplined

Play a Green Bay-type game and let Oakland beat themselves.

idk...

Bush had himself a nice 30+ yard run that was eventually stopped by DJ. I think he will get another one of those, hopefully not into the endzone

I think that Michael Bush will have a stellar day... unless DJ takes him out at the begining of the game.

The reason that Bush has had good games against us is because McFadden had been out… meaning that Bush was the primary RB by the end of the game.

Containing Bush in the 1st half should be a priority… forcing Palmer to win the game and having faith that our DB’s will contain their receivers should be given priority. If we can come up with a few picks in the process wammo! If we can win the turnover battle as a result and the Raiders get frustrated and commit more penalties we will have this one in the bag.

Go Chiefs!!!!

I'm not worried

About Oakland. It’s the Bills beating Denver I’m more concerned with. This is just like the year a dismal niners team had to beat the donkeys for us to make it to the post season. I think I nearly went into cardiac arrest when the niners won that game. This weekend I guess I should put the EMS on notice lol!
