Raiders Injury Report Has 16 Players Listed
The Kansas City Chiefs had two players on their injury report for Saturday's game and the Oakland Raiders have 16 players listed. That's usually the way it's gone with the Chiefs this year -- the opponent has significantly more injuries than they do (or at least they're just listing more injuries).
Here's a roundup of the Raiders injury report from Wednesday:
Did not practice: QB Jason Campbell (collarbone), WR Jacoby Ford (foot), DT John Henderson (knee), S Michael Huff (hamstring), RB Darren McFadden (foot), WR Louis Murphy (groin)
Limited practice: RB Michael Bush (shoulder), RB Taiwan Jones (hamstring), DT Tommy Kelly (toe)
Full practice: RB Rock Cartwright (calf), S Matt Giordano (shoulder), CB Bryan McCann (concussion), WR Denarius Moore (foot), CB Stanford Routt (knee), C Samson Satele (shoulder), WR Chaz Schilens (hip)
The big name on there is Darren McFadden and it sounds like he probably won't play. Instead, Michael Bush, who had 99 yards against the Chiefs last time around, likely gets the start.

Derrick Johnson vs Michael Bush
Fight!
Todd Haley lost 7 of his last 15 games by 20 or more points. It was time for him to go.

Damn
Jacoby Ford – Isnt this their speedy kick returner that everyone (raiders fans) thought was gonna be awesome
Louis Murphy – Shows me that their WR’s are depleted
John Henderson – their starting DT
Michael Huff – Starting Safety
Anyone else see a gameplan in this?
Run the ball and control the clock while working the playaction to jack with the safety- With their depleted WR’s we can bump and run the WR’s and stack the box against a tired Michael Huff and really get after the QB.
Should be interesting to see how RAC gameplans! In the words of Bart Scott… “Cant Wait!”
"It's still real to me dammit!"
I'm sure u meant a tired Michael Bush
But he gets a big run against us every game so look out for that
When you fail to prepare, you prepare to fail.
Jamaal above all. #25 ftw.
CHIEFS WILL!

Sounds almost exactly like what we did to GB
I have faith. RAC designed a hell of a game plan for them last time. He can do it again.

No way we lose
Once again, not enough tape on Orton to slow the offense down.

Why is there not enough tape on him?
I know it is a different offense but his tendencies as a QB should be the same.

Tendencies are dictated by offense.
For example, he may have loved looking at his TE in the flat in a certain situation. We may not have those routes in the offense. He might develop a tendency to go to Breaston on 3rd down. Not enough tape to identify that

If Chiefs move away from Haley's conditioning program, expect the Chiefs to pile up more injuries next year
For you Haley-bashers: Haley helped change the culture at One Arrowhead Drive. He dramatically improved individual performances and has minimized injuries. Not much you can do about ACL’s, but in terms of the nagging injuries that pile up as the season progresses, Haley’s methods are the best in the league.
Crennel, at Cleveland, was said to be lax on discipline. Hopefully, he has learned from Haley that there are tangible things that can be done to keep you team strong for a 16 game season and, perhaps, the playoffs.
While I would have loved to have seen how the Chiefs would have performed this year with Orton as the starting QB, now that Crennel is positioned to take the team forward, I hope he takes with him the positive things Haley instituted.
An inspired, healthy Chiefs team with a legit QB in our division can do very well for years to come. Hopefully, we move forward with what has worked and leave behind what hasn’t.
Hopefully
We still have the same strength and conditioning coach, and he has picked on some of Haley’s techniques.

The good and the bad
I think Haley leaned on Romeo, and I hope he learned a few things by watching Haley.

Well I will think Haley for his conditioning,
But his coaching sucked. Well, thank god we were healthy even though we played like shit. I’d rather win, and lose a couple to injuries, for lack of conditioning. Than have an awesome in shaped team of crap, and getting their asses handed to them, because they aren’t learning the game. But at least our injury report is smaller than the other teams
I don't have a catchy, catch phrase.
Bah
As long as Crennel has the Chiefs condition on a par with the rest of the NFL, I don’t buy that injuries will be a bigger deal.
Don’t forget that it was Haley’s “conditioning” philosophy that led to us losing Tony Moeaki in a preseason game.
I Think McFadden Is Done For The Year
He had a Lisfranc injury, not a simple strain, and those last quite awhile even if they don’t require surgery. I would be surprised to see him play this week or in Week 17…at this point he’s not even doing football stuff, he’s just barely gotten back to the point where he can jog.
I'm not worried about Bush in the slightest...
Bush is going to get pwned. Palmer is going to be running for his life… and we ride into the sunset with a “W” plain & simple. :)
Lol Matt… “Can’t Wait” indeed. Bart Scott moment for sure.
If you can't laugh at yourself... and/or your team...well then, you just plain suck.
""Q: What do the Kansas City Chiefs and Billy Graham have in common?
A: They both can make 70,000 people stand up and yell "Jesus Christ.""
