Not that far back.
Sunday’s display of pass distribution hasn’t happened for the Chiefs in more than 15 years. The last time Kansas City had 10 different players catch a pass was October 27, 1996 at Denver.

Chiefs quarterback Steve Bono hit 10 different targets that day in Kansas City’s 34-7 loss and was much less efficient than Orton. Bono completed only 21-of-49 attempts for 213 yards with two interceptions.

but, haven't you heard...

Orton is no better than Cassel…

First of all, you throwin' too many big words at me, and because I don't understand them, I'm gonna take 'em as disrespect...

Exact same guy from what I've heard.

If you really believe...

Orton is head and shoulders above Cassel then you are naive. They are both middle of the pack QBs. Orton has a stronger arm, gets the ball out quicker, and can go through his progressions. But he fumbles and throws more picks, and he isn’t as effective as Cassel in the red zone. That is probably Cassel’s only one good tool, his touch pass in the red zone. I say no thanks to both being the starter next year. We should be going after Manning when he gets released from the Colts.

let's see what Orton does with the Chiefs...

the team that Cassel has had the opportunity to play with…
Orton isn’t Elite, but Cassel Blows…

I think Orton is in the same league as Trent Green/Rich Gannon…

Throws more picks?

Their INT% is nearly identical, 2.6 to 2.5.

Hmm...

I stand corrected. I guess I was just looking at the number of picks. And I was going off the fumbling as a problem for Orton based on what Denver and Chicago fans have said about him throughout the years. But, he still has trouble in the red zone, there is no doubt about that. He may be a little better than Cassel, but a little better is not going to cut it. We need to take a giant leap, not a small step.

Go after Manning? Did you mean Eli?

We should be going after Manning when he gets released from the Colts Giants.

It is time to anoint the Stanzi. He is The One.

I was one of the people who said that

And boy was I wrong. I’m happy to say it though.
