Chiefs Depth Chart Has A Few Changes For Raiders Week

We actually have a few changes to the Kansas City Chiefs depth chart under head coach Romeo Crennel. There were a few notables changes for Oakland Raiders week:

It would be nice if Terrance Copper

Could become the legit #4 WR to solidify our WR depth. I thought Colbert had a chance but for some odd reason we cut him instead of Urban (one of the many reasons I disliked Haley). Bowe, Breaston, Baldwin, then we can get Copper to change his last name to Barnes or Bailey or Barthalamew for the sake of the killa b’s.

by JC25FoMVP on Dec 20, 2011 2:09 PM CST via mobile reply actions

Yeah Colbert didn't really light the world on fire

but it seems like he had a couple clutch catches for us on that 4 game winning streak to keep some drives alive.

Copper should change his name to Bronze.

Urban's days are numbered.

He was a Haley guy, and so this is probably the end for him. I kinda hope they bring Colbert back next year. A quality 4th WR who can also line up as a TE.

He’s not THAT bad…especially when you consider his awkward fit into this system. We need to trade him (I’d guess we could get a 3rd rounder, tops)…but he’s far from terrible.

by chiefsman! on Dec 20, 2011 2:45 PM CST up reply actions

I agree, it's time for him to go

He’s badly regressed this year, has been lapped by T-Jax in terms of production (notice how teams don’t run much at T-Jax and Houston?), and is WORSE next to an average NT than he was next to a sub-average NT.

I’m perfectly comfortable with Gordon/Bailey/Gilberry as our DE rotational guys, especially with Bailey getting better all the time.

Jones showed a little life last week.

I think we saw that he can still play when the opposing team doesn’t crowd the line of scrimmage…like they did when our QB couldn’t throw the ball more than 25 yards.

Another reason I’m fine with Orton for now is that he makes Jones, Battle, and Dex more effective.
