Okay guys lets get some good draft discussions going on in this thread and make sure you rec this to keep it on the front page. I have updated my current mock for the Chiefs due to my belief that we will now finish the season 7-9 and pick around pick 14.
The Chiefs have now fallen in the draft to around pick 13-16 by showing their heart and beating the world champion Packers and how are they rewarded in the offseason?
1. David Decastro, G, Stanford
This guy is a man and an elite prospect at his position. Sure the positional value is lower but getting an elite talent at a position of need at pick 14 would be great for this young team
2. Zebrie Sanders, OT, Florida St.
Zebrie has started at RT for the Seminoles for 4 seasons and has performed great in their ZBS. He should be able to take Barry's job right away and really improve our right side of our line.
3. Audie Cole, ILB, NC State
Cole is a between the tackles in the box ILB at NC State and he would challenge Belcher for the starting spot and provide quality depth at a low talent position on the team.
4. Vick Ballard, RB, Miss St
Ballard is a bruiser of a RB and has had great success at Miss St even though he was the focal point of the defense.
5. Tashaun Gipson, CB, Wyoming
Gipson has great size and speed for the CB position and with proper coaching could turn into a stud, enter Emmitt Thomas.
6. Austin Davis, QB, Southern Miss
A developmental QB that fits the mold that Pioli looks for in his late round picks. He has solid size and a solid body of work with a winning work ethic and experience.
7. Matt Merletti, SS, UNC
A player that started the season very well and tore an ACL and an MCL. He has great size, instincts, athleticism and could be a solid backup / special teamer.
7. Chris Pantale, TE, Boston College
Pantale is a potential UDFA but he is a great blocker and has great size at the TE position. Another late round flier at the TE position to help on special teams and provide quality depth.
