Yeah right, trade talk before the end of the season, and the trading deadline has passed. So what's the deal anyhow, we do not have a clue of where we draft yet, let alone who will be on the radar by the team. However, we all want to get Luck(y), and it will take a sweetheart of a deal to get into position to draft the next great QB, according to several sources on Luck's greatness to be. After watching the guy play, you cannot help but be impressed, so what would you guys trade for him. Draft choices and/or personnel.
In all likelyhood, the Colt's will own the choice, followed by the Rams. From the way I am reading between the lines, or trying to decipher what the reports on Manning are, it may actually be that he retires. Lot's of innuendos but no real facts. Polian knows the value of having a top tier QB, so we may not have a shot at the pick after all. But, the Rams are sitting there with a couple of huge holes in their lineup and having a contingency offer ready to go, if Manning gets cleared to play and is foolish enough to do so, would be a wise thing.
So what do we have in the way of talent to entice the Rams with that would be better than other teams trying the same thing. Of course this years #1 would be something in that deal, but what about talent? Would the Rams want Dorsey, as they have a need for a interior tackle? How about the right's to Bowe? So many ways to make a deal like this, and Bowe would have to be a sign and trade, or just his rights? Poor old Dorsey, playing out of position, could turn into a beast in St. Louie. Would Car or Flowers make it into an offer? DJ? What the Rams needs are and how far would you go to get an incredibly talented QB? What say you? Go Chief's!!
