Josh Freeman to the Chief's?

Stay connected for news and updates

Of all the conjecture about the QB spot that is the Chief's big need I haven't seen any homer love for our hometown boy. You see the trade up for Luck or RG3 or some other guy. You see a sophomore slump in Sam the Man in St.Louie, but not one word about bringing Freeman home in a trade. Tampa has a pretty good back up QB who some think is starter grade. They also have some huge needs at receiver and corner back.

It just so happens we have a couple of pieces in Bowe and Carr who are up for contracts, indeed some pretty big contracts. Is there any possibility that a trade could be made? Most likely not, but I for one would enjoy seeing a hometown boy make it big in KC. I haven't followed Tampa much this season, but I hear the coach is on the hotseat and may feel some desperation to get his team some players.

I know it is nothing more than pure conjecture and fantasy on my part, and I would rather see Carr stay than Bowe if we were only to sign one of them, but to make a trade for a young and promising QB, why not the hometown guy? Is there any chance of this happening? No, and Bradford ain't going to get traded either. Or Manning.

What I'd really like to see is Ricky Stanzi get a shot with our first team offense. I say this because in preseason he looked like a gamer even while playing with and against marginal players. He looked like he was having fun playing, avoiding the pass rush and trying to wing the ball. All of us armchair GM's have ideas of how we'd like to change the team, but mostly we're clueless on the inner workings of the NFL and what is actually feasible to accomplish is much different in reality, but reagardless of all that---GO CHIEF'S!!!
