Week 15 Match-Up: Kansas City Chiefs vs Green Bay Packers

Alright, I've been busy during the holidays so I missed a couple of these match-ups. This week we face the undefeated Green Bay Packers. This is the Chiefs first game with interim coach Romeo Crennel. The Chiefs will also have a new starting QB for this week.

I'll look at the passing, rushing, special teams, and coaching. I'll also look at the x-factor while trying to be complete unbiased.

Chiefs QB: Kyle Orton or Ricky Stanzi

Packers QB: Aaron Rodgers

The Packers are 3rd in passing yards averaging 304.6 yards per game. The Chiefs are ranked 30th in passing yards averaging 177.4 yards per game. The Packers defense is ranked 31st in pass defense. They are giving up 288.7 yards per game through the air. The Chiefs defense is ranked 10th in pass defense. They are giving up 209.3 yards per game through the air. The Packers are allowing their opponents this year to complete 60.1 percent of their passes. The Chiefs are allowing their opponents this year to complete 58.7 percent of their passes. The Packers have 27 sacks and 27 interceptions this season. They have given up 33 sacks and 7 interceptions. The Chiefs have 23 sacks and 17 interceptions. They have given up 33 sacks and 16 interceptions.

When The Chiefs Pass: Tie (If Kyle Orton Starts)

When The Packers Pass: Packers

Chiefs Running Backs: Thomas Jones, Jackie Battle

The Packers are 27th in rushing with 99.5 yards per game. The Chiefs are 15th in rushing with 116.4 yards per game. The Packers defense is 12th in rushing giving up only 106 yards per game. The Chiefs defense is 15th in rushing giving up only 115.4 yards per game. The Packers are gaining 3.9 yards per rushing attempt this year. Chiefs Special Teams: Ryan Succop, Dustin Colquitt, PR/KR Javier Arenas, Dexter McCluster

Packers Special Teams: Mason Crosby, Tim Masthay, PR/KR Randall Cobb

Crosby has only missed 2 field goals this season and is perfect from 50 and beyond. Succop has missed 3 field goals and is also perfect from 50 and beyond. Masthay has a 44.9 yard punt average and 16 punts in the 20. Colquitt has 45.6 yard punt average and 22 punts in the 20. The Packers have a 25.4 yard average when returning kickoffs. The Packers have a 12 yard average when returning punts. The Chiefs have a 21.2 yard average when returning kickoffs. The Chiefs have a 11.9 yard average when returning punts. The Packers coverage team has given up 23.2 yards average on kickoffs and 14.9 yards average/1 touchdown on punts. The Chiefs coverage team has given up 20.2 yards average on kickoffs and 12.5 yards average/1 touchdown on punts.

Special Teams: Tie

Chiefs Coaches: Romeo Crennel, Bill Muir

Packers Coaches: Mike McCarthy, Dom Capers, Joe Philbin

The Coaching staffs are in two different places right now. Mike McCarthy is possibly on his second straight Super Bowl run. Dom Capers defense is really the only weak link. Romeo Crennel is the interim head coach after the firing of Todd Haley earlier this week. Crennel is not new at being a head coach however. Bill Muir's offense is the weak link of the Chiefs team.

Coaching: Packers

The Chiefs are playing at home but their home field advantage doesn't mean too much these days. The players might be fired up especially on defense playing for Romeo Crennel. Kyle Orton might give the offense the spark they need too. However, the Packers are just on fire right now and want to continue their win streak/dominance.

X - Factor: Packers

I don't even think the biggest Chiefs homer would say the Chiefs will win this week. If the offense plays well then perhaps it won't be a blowout this week. The Packers are just too good right now. They also have more depth at key positions. The Packers will win but it will probably be closer than we expect. I'm 7-6 when picking Chiefs games this year.

Winner: Packers
