Talk about a Merry Christmas present, get fired from of the great jobs in all of sports, an NFL Head Coach. But on the flip side, it was not working out for him here and if the reports are true that he was thinking of resigning in season, what a great time to be let go. Home in sunny AZ to the house he had just built before coming to KC, and time to look for another job if he wants. Kind of a nice way to part and get to spend the holidays with the family without the distractions of the duties being a pro coach involves. Thanks and Good Luck Coach Haley for helping begin the process of overhauling a decrepit franchise. To bad for us fans as we had to experience the season with a lame duck coach who should have been fired before the season if the feelings were so antagonistic. Oh well, what are we going to do? Cry in our BEER? Hell No!

What we are going to do is welcome the next coach, whomsoever that will be, and support the team. That's what we do here in KC, like we have any other choice. Some off the wall candidates would be the Tuna, although I really doubt he wants to put forth such effort at his age. Another coach not discussed, but that has ties to Pioli is Steve Spagnola who is the current coach at Miami, but expected to be dismissed at the end of the season. Several other guys have been mentioned around here at AP, and it will certainly be interesting to see how it shakes out. This will be a very interesting time here in the Chief's Kingdom as we get to see what Pioli has in store for us. Will he continue to bring in people from the coaching tree he is so fond of? Or will he bring a savvy pro who is well known and has a proven track record. Time will tell and GO CHIEF'S
