While watching tomorrows game against the Jets, focus on a particular player. Watch for how well he plays his position. But first it is necessary to know what that position has in the way of responsibilities. If you think you know, you might not. So google it, and you will find some very well versed desrciptions by people who have played and or coached that said position. I am going to suggest you google the safety positions, then focus on our boy Kendrick Lewis.
This will be a good test against a pretty good opponent. My concerns with him are not his intangibles that the coach espouses, but with his play. I think he is a wee bit slow for the pro's and also that his tackling ability is not up to par for a safety in the NFL. One of the key attributes in a safety is being able to make tackles all by your lonesome, as you are the last line of defense.
I have heard, or in this case read a few folks who think he is something really good as a safety. I also know that he is young and relatively inexperienced as a second year player and should just give him time. I also have read that he is a "complimentary" player to Eric Berry, whatever the hell that's supposed to mean. I have to say we will have a really hard time winning a championship with him as our starter. But make up your own mind by educating yourself on what constitutes a good safety and then watch him play. Go Chief's!!!!
