Chiefs vs Miami: Ouch

I am not going to give my weekly "What I Saw" this time.

The players are not going to make excuses but I will.  Follow me...

  • Short Week- Plain and damn simple.  This team is not used to a short week.  They had one once and that was against the Browns last season.  That team had Jamaal Charles, Tony Moeaki, a healthy Thomas Jones and surprises.  This team has their main KR and backup Safety out.  The team that went on the field today was not equipped to play.  They just got off two very physical division games and everyone was banged up.  All the conditioning in the world could not prepare this team.
  • Playing with a Purpose- The Dolphins were playing with a purpose.  They were not going to lay down and say when.  This game was a trap game.  Unlike the Colts, the Phins were not going to give up.  Much like the Chiefs after their 0-3 start, they wanted to win.
  • Come down- Way too much momentum was going in the Chiefs favor.  They won four in a row and were playing a little too good.  They were due for one.  All good things coming to an end.  Allow me to say that when the Packers lose, they are going to lose in bad fashion.  Karma works both ways.  You win big, you are going to lose big.  I could tell that the Chiefs were going to lose.
  • Good news- If there is any good that could come out of this it is that they have been beat.  Now they can go back and regroup for the Donkeys.  They can lick their wounds and improve.  They came down to Earth and now can go back up.

I still have faith in this team.  The AFC West is still wide open and there is still 8 weeks of football left.

I said that no matter how many games they won, I would be proud of this team.  They overcame adversity and won 4 games when everyone left them out to dry.

Remember that Chiefs WILL win.
