Dolphins cut DT Igor Olshansky
- I've seen some folks here who wanted him in KC for a 3-4DE

get him
He was a pretty good 34 DE for the Cowboys. If he comes in and does good, we might be set at end with all the competition we would have

Three teams in in the last two and a half years?
No thanks. Let the young guys play and develop.

does not hurt to bring him in
that D Line has not been getting pressure…
Playoffs are a REAL possibility in 2010...just need few tweeks here and there.
If he can get pressure
put him in with Gordon and Powe in the middle. Who cares of Tjax can occupy 2 blocks, getting sacks is way better.
not really..i think youre over thinking it
by looking for a 10 yr starter…im looking at winning a Super Bowl next yr with possibly the best QB the NFL has ever seen…next yr..Peyton makes us a SuperBOwl favorite NEXT YEAR…Luck does not.
A rookie is not going to win you a Super Bowl…in fact, it will take at least 3 yrs to get him acclaimated to the NFL before he will…
Playoffs are a REAL possibility in 2010...just need few tweeks here and there.
Peyton will retire at the end of this year.
If he doesn’t, Colts have no reason to trade him.

I agree.
Screw stopping the run lets just go after the QB every down. Hell lets just blitz every down while we’re at it too.

we Chiefs fans say that every year...

Give Bailey a chance to spell Dorsey.
Maybe stick Wallace in the 3-4 every so often. We’ve got young guys that can get pressure on this team, we’re just forcing them to play in the nickel/dime every time they’re on the field. Give them the 1-on-1’s the defensive front goes out of its way to give to Dorsey and let’s see what those guys can do.
3rd and 1...guess we'll run the dime. Eesh.
I agree
I think Bailey and Wallace both have the potential to get some serious pressure on the QB.
I like what i saw from Gordon and Powe (in very limited action)
And, IMHO, Jackson has been VERY solid this year, to the point that I’m suprised other people dont’ notice him.
So, I think the DL in general is in pretty good hands, at least for this season
Jackson plays a position where the only time you do notice him is if he's not playing well.

Agreed I'm hoping to see more and more of that as well. I hate that our front seven is sort of pigeon-holed in terms of formations / personelle
Kalo, any idea how romeo chose to use his RDE in NE as far as the 1-on-1’s went? That was seymour, correct?
if rhymes were valiums, i'd be comfortably numb

Very similar, if I remember correctly.
Although Seymour is a monster, and still produced when teams were FORCED to double team him.
3rd and 1...guess we'll run the dime. Eesh.
Don't we already have around 14 DE on the roster?
The views expressed by craig in calgary do not necessarily represent the views of all Canadians.
I DID want him
I wanted him in Free Agency so we wouldnt have to draft Tyson Jackson.
We switched to a 34 but put two guys with no NFL 34 experience as our starters and didnt get a real NT. Not a setup for success….
How long should you try? Until.

he never made a play
We already have to many d-lineman like that. And you want to bring in another 1?

Go back and read what I said
I said that I DID want him before we drafted TJ….now I don’t.
I wanted him to plug in at DE so we could draft a different position. But it didn’t work out my way.

He would've been out of position because Igor is a 1 gap guy.

Unfortunately he's a one gap player
We run a two gap system.
