You ever just find your self going Palko just throw another pick so we can lose this one? I mean don't get me wrong I want my Chiefs to win and always will but at this point I have come to grips with the fact we shouldn't win another game this season. We could pick top 5 if we lose out, which is a good possibility, and that still puts us in the Luck sweepstakes or at least hopefully a stud player. Now let me explain more after the jump before you say this guy has lost his marbles and should be banned from this site...
I know we all as good fans would have love to see Bowe hall in that last pass in some crazy one handed grab that he is known for doing...but why should he? What is beating Pitt going to do for us? Drop us down in the draft and yes I know this is a quitters mentality but what are we honestly playing for now? We have lost everything and more. Stud Safety, star RB, decent QB, TE, and the ability to put a good offensive game plan together. We really are down to our last straw, aka Palko. Palko is by far the worst QB I've seen step foot on a field since I started watching football, I saw the Jaguars get a guy selling cotton candy at the game the week before and start him and he looked pretty good. Palko has a 1 cent arm and a peso head.
Luck will drop in the draft in my opinion looking at the teams in the top 5. Is Indy going to draft the QB of the future? Or more likely try and fill another hole and win with Manning. Now the teams ahead of us at the moment are Car,Stl, Min,Mia, Jags. Now we need Miami to win another games or at least 1 because they are the only other team in that list I see drafting another Qb. Now they could all trade back but that could be a trade to the Chiefs.
Now say we don't get Luck, big deal we are in the top 5. Now if Pioli doesn't mess it up some how. He has a chance at Kalil or Jones or RGIII or many other studs. Would it be a bad thing to have another Berry? Not at safety but maybe at ILB or what if we got Kalil and had an actual Jake Long or Joe Thomas.
All in all I'm not saying suck for luck or just give up but sometimes you have to look at next year because you have lost to much. With multiple starters returning next year and hopefully a matured Baldwin, Houston and Hudson plus an even better Asamoah we need to look at our biggest holes and draft a stud to fill one of them. We all had the wool pulled over our eyes at the beginning of the year thinking we were to the point of drafting depth and project players but we saw how incomplete our team is.
