I don't believe that I've ever been so down, then up, then down, then up about my team (the Chief's) before and it's been since they arrived in KC that I have watched and been a fan. If I didn't already have gray hair, this year could have induced it. Totally inconceivable is how this season has been so far. I had great expectations at the beginning of the year to getting pole-axed from thinking this team wasn't good enough to be in the NFL, to seeing them reel off 4 straight. Then lose to a winless team and a college offense. And while doing all that, seeing total ineptitude in getting plays called, let alone good plays. Then last night, it was great seeing a team fighting to stay alive. Bing-bing-bing, ricochet my brain like a pinball.
Holy Jamoli, I now am reconsidering my fire the HC attitude, ain't that a bitch. ? the talent on this team to thinking that there is some here after all. I guess it's really true about young teams and inconsistent play. This team takes that to a new level. I am still at the point of total befuddlement about what to think, so I guess I will have to watch an ENTIRE season before making conclusions about who should go and who should stay. Well, not entirely as there are a couple of guys starting that I think need replaced.
So I guess I should be thankful for the team giving me so much fun this year. The daily and weekly fun of debating with the folks here on AP about where the team is and how they should proceed. I am amazed at the teeter-totter way this season is, and if I can just get over my own opinions and try to enjoy what's happening. So tough to be objective when getting so many different demonstrations of both good and bad from this team. Yeah , I know that fat lady ain't singing just yet, but she is humming along warming up cause this season is all but over for the playoffs run. As frustrating as this season has been, it still brings me joy because the ride I get for being a fan.
I can't believe I am posting these words that follow, but I am encouraged even though we lost. That's right we lost, but even so, I have renewed hope of a better future for this team, and that includes this season too. Go Chief's!!!
