The Kansas City Chiefs acquired QB Kyle Orton on Wednesday and he arrived in KC on Friday but those two days apparently weren't enough prep time for Sunday Night Football. Orton is among the Chiefs inactives against the Pittsburgh Steelers which means he will not play.
Orton's status has been the topic of plenty of debate this week but the Chiefs are rolling with QB Tyler Palko. He was named the starter earlier in the week after the Orton move came down and now we know it'll be QB Ricky Stanzi, and not Orton, backing him up.
The Chiefs had four players on the injury report -- G Ryan Lilja was ruled out while DE Glenn Dorsey, S Jon McGraw and LB Demorrio Williams were all questionable. Dorsey and McGraw will play while Williams is out again.
The complete list of Chiefs inactives: CB Donald Washington, LB Demorrio Williams, G Ryan Lilja, TE Jake O'Connell, DE Brandon Bair, NT Jerrell Powe and QB Kyle Orton.
Washington and O'Connell don't have any known injuries so their placement on the inactive list is somewhat unusual.
