Here's a very interesting take by a former NU teammate.

i find it interesting (can't find it posed by anyone in the media, either) that when Haynesworth stomped on Gurode, his DC was Jim Schwartz
now, in this incident, the only other “stomping” incident to occur since Haynesworth, the HC is Jim Schwartz.
is Schwartz encouraging this kind of play and behavior or is it just an interesting coincidence?
interesting
He doesn’t seem to care too much, that’s for sure.
CHIEFS DYNASTY – we’re kind of a big deal
heck, the team has no intention of punishing the guy
so…there you go.
CHIEFS DYNASTY – we’re kind of a big deal
if you're HC is constatnly telling you how you're playing the game isn't dirty (no proof Schwartz has, just my own conspiracy theory)
i can see why Suh would feel the way he does (unjustly attacked, etc), bc in the “lion’s den”, he isn’t a dirty player, he’s just doing his job the way he’s asked to do it.
i understand in that article you posted that at NU, he had some incidents in practice, but kept it clean on the field…i have a feeling that’s the way Pelini (sp?) wanted it. this is just my opinion, but i think Suh is the puppet and Schwartz is pulling the strings. we’ve all seen how Schwartz reacts when a simple handshake doesn’t go the way he wants.
if Suh played for, let’s say, Tomlin/LeBeau, i seriously doubt he has this many (or any) of these issues. they’d ask him to play the game the way they wanted and Suh actually seems to be the kind of guy who works at wanting to please his coach, to him, that’s what makes him a good player…or, Suh is just an asshole and i’m making a mountain out of a molehill.
Cost them the game? It was the offense that could only put up 15 points.

Because James Harrison, who does play for Tomlin/LeBeau, has no issues at all?

I was just referring to the dirty play aspect.
I cannot recall how many of Harrison’s head-shots were penalized in-game. I may be alone in this, but I would much rather someone try to stomp on my arm than target my head and try to knock me out or give me a concussion. IMO, Harrison is just as dirty as Suh and Tomlin & Co don’t seem to try to change his game at all.

interesting indeed.
throw Gun in the mix and it seems like you’d have a pretty volatile combination.
if rhymes were valiums, i'd be comfortably numb

When your coach goes bezerk becasue the opposing coach is happy he won, it is not exactly setting a good example of how to control your emotions.
The views expressed by craig in calgary do not necessarily represent the views of all Canadians.
I have one word to explain this......Its them steroids again.
Winning begins with Attitude - Haley and Pioli will be winners in KC!
I'll forever be a Chiefs fan! Only God himself could take that away from me, but when I get to my great reward, I'll rejoin two bigger fans, my Mom and Dad.
this is immediately what I thought when I saw it
That wasn’t just aggressiveness, that was just evil
BOOM!
Oh God
This is getting pretty ridiculous now.

A nasty player on defense would be great
An idiot like Suh would be detrimental.
If Suh gets wrapped up in an emotional, fiery play like that, reacts maliciously, and apologizes afterwards, taking responsibility for falling victim to the heat of the moment, he gains respect in my eyes.
Defending his actions and claiming innocence just shows stupidity and/or ill-advice from his coaches and management. Smarten up, Suh. You are already costing yourself, stop costing your team

So you can only act malicious if you apologize afterwards??
News to me.

Did I say it was ok to act maliciously?
Did I say he shouldn’t be punished for it?
My point is he should accept responsibility for his actions. No person is above making mistakes, especially in the heat of the moment; owning up to them and taking the punishment like a man while learning from your mistakes. That earns respect

Yeah lets forget all the flagrant fouls from both lines that led to this
Shaun Smith grabs players’ balls and AP cheers and jokes, Suh gets caught up in the heat of the moment and people are saying he’s evil.
Freaking lol dude.
Me and Matt Cassel just - you up, dog!
Do we have video proof of this alleged ball grabbing?
And dude, you are all over the place on this. Above, you claim I’m giving a pass to Suh for acting maliciously, and down here you are giving him a pass for acting maliciously. WTF?
I'm so overrated, I'm underrated.
