Tod Haley has my admiration, he really does. I think it is time to move on. I think that he hasn't developed past cracking the whip, getting these players attention and in shape. Having accomplished that, he seems to have brought about a negative situation with his ceaseless rants of a control freak. I still think he over coached Cassel way past the place he needed to and robbed him of his confidence as he just didn't want to let go the reins. Then to see a total lack of professionalism in getting plays in to the QB from the sidelines was enough to seal this dismissal in my estimation. Hey he served a purpose, bringing in a new unrelenting attitude that didn't take tolerate losers.
I think Pioli made a good decision bringing in Haley, but Todd hasn't developed. And I think Pioli isn't about to give up any power, so guys like Cowher will not come here. However, there is a coach with ties to Pioli, and for that matter RAC, where rings were won. He coached in NY and Cleveland as a HC, and with regime change lost his position in Cleveland. I really don't know much about him, but he might be the answer to move this team forward without blowing the whole staff to hell and gone.
Does Haley stay? Does he go? Nobody but Pioli knows. Or perhaps the team knows as well, and is why we see uninspired play far to often from them. As a fan, I want the current team to succeed, but do not see it improving to the point where this coach gets another chance. Is Eric Mangino the answer? Maybe, maybe not. I no longer believe Haley is and want to see a pro's pro come in and lead this team to a ring. Go Chief's!!!!
