Time to suck like Lady Gaga!

Yup, Monday Night's game officially stamped out any remaining embers of hope in even the most earnest Chiefs' fan's heart. It's over, and not only is it over, but this team is clearly lousy and isn't going to get any better even with our injured players back. It needs a shakeup. Matt Cassel ain't the answer, and never will be, and Tyler Palko- who had his golden chance to show he could play in the bigs, and sadly showed he couldn't cut it- needs to go the way of Brodie Croyle. Cassel needs to go back to his appropriate role, holding a clipboard.

This team needs a franchise quarterback and it needs to get one with its first round pick- and that pick needs to be top five. Fellas, it's time to suck. It's time to let Palko screw the pooch for the rest of the year. It's time to suck like Lady Gaga.

Yes, we desperately need Oline help, and there is a lot of merit to the argument that the Oline is a big reason why this team is so bad. But you can upgrade an Oline in Free Agency, you just have to spend a bit of money. Up to now, Pioli has only visited the bargain bins, which is why we have a line up of other teams cast offs. Sure it would be tempting to look at a top LT...but without a serious quarterback, or at least a hopeful, this team will live in the mire of hopelessness.

Hope, thy name is a quarterback.

I think this season would look very different if we didn't have all those injuries

But since we do… i certainly would prefer picking 4th or 5th after not making the playoffs over picking 6th or 7th after not making the playoffs.

I stopped reading after this
isn’t going to get any better even with our injured players back.

Yeah, clearly our run game would suffer with Charles back. Yeah, Berry is just average and wouldn’t help out the defense at all.

They'll get better, just not by much.

They’ll go from total suckitude to just plain wallowing in mediocrity with an average to hard schedule.

With a soft schedule they may even pull out an accidentally playoff appearance.

I think what he means is without a real franchise QB, they aren’t really going anywhere with the talent currently on roster – healthy or not.

Yeah, because JC has been mediocre consistently...

Wait, did I just misspell awesome?

I love my wife, my kids, and the Chiefs. In that order. Except on game days.

I think

the implication is that there are fundamental problems with the whole team (mainly offensive line but defense too) that cannot be changed by one or two or more players getting back to health.

I felt sorry for Palko, he probably wasn’t going to have a stellar game anyway, but no QB was going to look behind that line.

Blame my wife!
Just because I haven't responded, doesn't mean you won the argument!

How many Chief out there are like the press?

I come here every day to read about my team and yes i know they are having troubles but they are my team. All you winers out there remind of the press after tet 1968. Yes we were hand a big problem but we prevailed but if you believed the press we were defeated. If we had had the same press at the battle of the Bulge, we would have surrender right then. All you winers are not true fans, you talk about the players quiting but it is you who have quit on them.

Oh boy...I was waiting for the "true fan" garbage

true fans want their team to improve. So now only whiners want winners?
