Hello All
At the end of the 2008 season as the Chiefs completed a pathetic 2-14 season, the Lions were even worse with a record of 0-16. Both organizations decided it was time to clean house from the GM, Personnel and Coaching staffs.
As we sit in 2011 it is sadly evident which franchise now has the 'right stuff' and which is failing miserably. The Lions have been able to acquire a great deal of talent throughout their team and have some stars on offense and defense. They have also built up considerable depth, particularly on the defensive line where they seem to be able to rotate players in and out endlessly. Finally, the Lions have an identity.
The Chiefs, lack depth, have not acquired near the level of talent and do not seem to have an identity at all. What does this team do well?
It is sad yet true that the team we all follow seems to be wallowing in mediocrity (at best) while the team that used to be the laughing stock is now light years ahead of us and has a very bright short and long range future.
