Bandwagoning off the terrible start to the season and the last three games would lead many to cry for Pioli and/or Haley to be fired. The 4 game winning spree between the two losing streaks would merit both be extended. The wild occillation between terrible and fairly good makes me want....
beer or maybe something for depression and mood swings.
I admit to not knowing the answer but lean toward keeping both but there are alot of arguements each way.
Terrrible choice of OC - burn it down
Loss of 3 of your top 6 players before you really got into the season - give'm another chance
Lack of progress by Cassel - burn it down
Promising QB coach in place but losing the offseason - give'm another chance
They weren't ready to play when the season started - they are idiots, dump them
How is our injury report so much shorter than everyone else's - maybe there is method to the conditioning madness.
2008 draft was terrible and we don't sign free agents - dump Pioli
2009 and 2010 drafts look pretty good - keep Pioli
Having to rely on Battle, McGraw, Palko & O'Connell because you did not find any depth for the guys now on IR - revoke Pioli's right to eat barbeque.
We finally have some depth at WR, DL and CB - let Pioli enjoy...no can't get past the McGraw/O'Connell/Piscatelli mess - let him starve.
Chiefs are cheap and can't get FA - burn it down.
Resigned - Hali, Johnson, Charles, Flowers, signed Breaston - give the $ to guys we are familiar with vs. the really unknown...I'm good with that.
Overall, I guess I am netting out to give them another year. Haley will never face an offseason like this last one. The loss of Moeaki, Charles, Berry, Cassel to the same injury and those positions being our weakest in depth is kind of a fluke. Jones hit the wall faster/harder than I certainly expected, I like Stanzi but with no offseason it is a big stretch to think he'd be ready to step in during his rookie year. Haley rolled the dice and lost in regard to readiness when the season started. Commitment to conditioning seems to work though. New QB Coach, new (actually REALLLLLY old) OC, the Baldwin injury... Have to hope this year is the anomally. Next year will tell the tale which year was the outlier,? 2009 or 2010.
