Palko, the Steelers and Parallels

I am a man who believes in parallels.  I once predicted every single game of my High School Football team based on whether or not the Chiefs won or not (I went to Truman in Independence and anyone who lives in the district knows that the teams from 05-10 sucked).

Needless to say, I could have been a very rich 16 year old.

What does all this have to do with the Chiefs?

Stay tuned...

I am beginning to notice the Chiefs QB situation is becoming very similar to another teams.  That team is the Jacksonville Jaguars.

As most of you know, the Jags cut David Garrard two days before the season started.  It was later revealed that he had a back injury.  Luke McCown was named the starter.

Luke did well in his first outing, winning the game.  Then against the Jets, he stunk it up and Blaine Gabbert has been the starter ever since.

Mediocre QB can't play and so the backup is put in.  The backup wins his first game and then stinks it up.  Rookie goes in and the rest is history.

In the Chiefs case, Matt Cassel goes out and gets injured and is headed to IR.  Tyler Palko the Falco is put in.  He has a good game and  I am predicting a win but barely.  If this is true, Ricky Stanzi the Manzi should be put in after Palko throws 4 INT's and we get blown out on SNF.

While this may not be true, it does hold an interesting bit.  This could also end up being a Bledsoe to Brady type deal.
