Chiefs Vs. Patriots: Nine Year Old Streak Could Fall Tonight
We'll file this one under the random stats department.
Dating back to Week 14 of the 2002 season, a Miami Hurricanes player has scored at least one NFL touchdown. Guys like Willie McGahee, Andre Johnson and Frank Gore have helped that run over the last 149 games.
It appears this streak will likely come to an end on Monday Night Football.
The New England Patriots (Vince Wilfork) and Kansas City Chiefs (Allen Bailey) each have one former 'Cane on their roster and both play on the defensive line so their chances of scoring...aren't good.
But here's to the streak living on and Bailey picking up a Tom Brady fumble and returning it for a touchdown.

Well if he doesn't score a touchdown...
Maybe he well at least beat an alligator with a shovel on Monday Night Football.
You know Joel, because you brought this up, it will probably now happen. The world has a funny way of doing things like that against all odds, just because someone mentions it.

So then saying its against all odds makes it likely to happen?
In that case I give Bailey a 75% chance of scoring. Happens all the time, no big deal.

Stuff like that does happen all the time.
It is just true, but you can’t pick and choose when it will happen. It just does.

I gotcha
I just like the confusion that may place on a superstitious fan. Do we talk about it or not? Is it likely or not?!?!

Some shit is just a mystery.
If you Jinx something and then it happens, people will question you for ruining everything. That definitely happens.
If you jinx something and nothing happens, consider yourself lucky.
I don’t get all the details of superstitions and whatever, but I know that crazy things do happen.

During that run...
I wonder what was the most unlikely way it was kept alive.

Disgusting
to see how UM president Donna Shalala and former head coach Larry Coker allowed that program to fall.
Actually, it was pretty disgusting
how they managed to succeed all those years.

As a Nebraska fan, it is bittersweet to watch them now.
Someday that program will have a resurgence you would think.

I would love to see them back in the spotlight and winning championships
unfortunately Shalala has stated she’s fine with mediocrity. Well she didn’t use the word mediocrity exactly, but from the sound of her statements playing in the Little Caesar’s bowl or some other rinky dink bowl is just as good.

disgusting for you maybe, pretty sweet for me!
It’s something my Mizzou friends can’t understand. To go undefeated and win championship games.

I was talking about how they ran the program
NCAA violations and crap.

Bailey scores in the wildcat,
Of course that would mean we are close enough to the goalline. That is some serious digging for a tst, kudos to whoever came up with that one.
I don't have a catchy, catch phrase.
tst?? I think I was trying for stat,
Who knows what my alter ego was typing, after all he is the Cassel fan.

Not sure what is more amazing
the streak…or that fact that someone tracks such things.

Both amazing
…but what’s the most amazing is why someone would want an Aiken Drum signature.
Yep that's right. Our starting QB wears a hairband.

I worry it might be Wilfork who keeps it alive.
But I hope its Bailey or nobody.

You're talking out your ass.
You have no clue one way or the other. He could be terrible even for a backup and he could be the second coming of Tom Brady.
You don’t know.

like i've said ten times
stagdsp sees a pile of dog dookie with a chiefs jersey on and all of the sudden it’s an all pro
Better than seeing every person within the Chiefs organization as a pile of dog dookie... like some people.
looks like
WE NEED RECIEVER #81 ON OUR TEAM AS A GO TO GUY FOR HIM!!!!!!! That man shredded the defenses in that clip. Who was/is this guy?? Hopefully Bowe and Baldwin can be just as effective.

It's actually remarkable how similar to Tebow his throwing motion is
really slow delivery. FML. Stanzi better be read to start the second half.
You can't spell Power without Powe.
Palko throw floaters.
That’s the one thing I noticed about him, all his passes seem to float forever. Kinda like Huard in a way.

Wilfork scores on a 97 yard INT for a TD.
Go Chiefs!!!!
Palko is probably going to throw a pick to Wilfork,
And that fat bastard will run 60+ yards for a TD.
Ha... looks like we are on the same page
See directly above.
Go Chiefs!!!!
You will not see Stanzi start this year!!!
