No Chiefs Among League Leaders In Early Pro Bowl Voting
The NFL released an update on the early Pro Bowl voting for the 2011 NFL season and there aren't any Kansas City Chiefs players leading their position group. That shouldn't be a surprise. The Chiefs don't have anyone who has played among the league's elite for all nine games this year.
The leading vote-getters in the AFC are the usual suspects -- four Patriots players on offense and four Ravens players on defense.
Aaron Rodgers is the overall leading vote-getter followed by Tom Brady, Calvin Johnson, Adrian Peterson and Wes Welker. If you were ever unsure of the Packers popularity, they have 10 (of 19) players leading the NFC at their position group on both offense and defense.
The chart of all the leading vote-getters is posted after the jump.

Nobody's played well enough this year to be considered.
Even Tamba.
DJ started off well, sort of disappeared the last couple of weeks.
Maybe Colquitt?

Well, it's the Pro Bowl so multiple guys at each position will make it
This is just an update on who leads at each position. I suspect a Chief or two will make the Pro Bowl.

Right, just by sheer weight of numbers I suspect someone will make it.
But still, there hasn’t really been anything resembling exemplary play from any of our guys at their respective positions.
Bowe, Tamba and DJ might get some looks from having a few notable games each plus name recognition.
Is there anyone I’m missing? (always possible, especially this early in the day)

The Whole team disappeared
but I have noticed DJ the most out of anyone on defense. Seems like he is around the ball everytime. He still has 71 tackles and leading the team by far. On pace for about 130 tackles.
The Denver game was the worst game by the entire team all season. The only reason it was so close was because we played a terrible team in Denver. If we play like that against any of the next 5 teams we'll lose by 40.

Right
A few more shatty asz performances and good luck selling a ticket. Maybe this will pizz off Carl enough to make some changes. We all know how he loves his money

Hey, if it gets bad enough we'll have to ask President Truman to call in the National Guard.

Don’t let his smooth talkin fool you – he will eat your hands… and maybe your face.

I suppose... but I prefer
to imagine a dangerous sociopath hatted llama with a history of violence watching over the team… ready to take matters into his own hoofs should it be deemed necessary.

I can't argue with that in any way, shape or form.

I'm just glad Carl wasn't invited to Llamafest 2011!
Go Chiefs!!!!
His brother looked better in the Denver game....

Wow, nice to see all 120,961 Raven fans voted.

Freeney
Havent heard his name much this year? What has he done?
Beside lament the failing at the Colts QB position this year?
Nothing
Go Chiefs!!!!
What?! No Matt Cassel? But...but...he's a pro bowl qb

I can think of a few that would be leading the votes for the Toilet Bowl All Shabby Team
Shabby sucks enough to have it named after him.
Insert witty yet thought provoking phrase here.
Hard to argue
Maybe DJ, maybe big Jon. But numbers aside they have tough competition at those positions.
