We all know the season is over so why don't we just type out the different offseason scenarios we have played in our heads at work and school. For starters here are some good sites for 2012 NFL Free Agents and 2012 NFL Draft Prospects:

Team Needs
1. LILB-Jovan Belcher is one of the worst starting linebackers in football. I just learned today that he weighs only 228 lbs which had me in awe for hours and hours because he is arguably the slowest player on our defense. He makes the tackle maybe 50% of the time, he never gets to the QB when his name is called on a blitz, he never makes plays at the line of scrimmage, and he is the epitome of what Stephen A Smith would call a "scrub" in pass defense. He needs to go immediately.
2. LE-The Tyson Jackson project has failed. After 3 seasons his calling card would read, "Fairly under average at stopping the run." He rarely sheds blocks, he does not demand attention from the offensive line at all which leaves Hali facing 2 blockers and a chipper on a lot of passing downs, he misses tackles far too much, and is irrelevant on passing downs. He has two years left on his contract so Crennel should make him a rotational player next year as there is talent at his position on the market worth seizing.
3. Safety Depth-Jon McGraw is a serviceable back up safety, and I think he is worth one more season. Behind McGraw and Kendrick Lewis are Sabby Piscatelli who has become more hated than BBQ is loved in Kansas City because of his constant ineptitude in every facet of the safety position, Donald Washington who could take a large percentage of the blame for the debacle against Miami, and Reshard Langford who along with our 50 Million Dollar man Brandon Flowers, gave up the play that ended the Chiefs hopes of obtaining a 2nd consecutive AFC West Championship in my opinion.
4. Cornerback-We need one more guy to throw in the mix with Carr, Arenas, and Flowers. I'm for re-signing Brandon Carr simply because I think he will continue to develop and will become better with upgrades around him on defense, but I still don't trust him or Brandon "Pay Me One Million Dollars for Every Touchdown I Allow Over the Next Three Seasons" Flowers. Looking at a more physical cover corner sometime in the first 2 rounds of the draft who can let Flowers move down to slot if there is too much of a height advantage or he is simply being manhandled would be my wish.
5a. OT-I put offensive tackle back here because I believe we have 2 starting offensive tackles on our football team and only one is in the lineup. Branden Albert at Right Tackle or Left Tackle and Jared Gaither at Right Tackle or Left Tackle should help solve some of our pass blocking woes immediately. Also the comeback of the one of the best running backs in football should make every Offensive Lineman's job a lot easier.
5b. NT-Amon Gordon has shown flashes of greatness as an NT for the Chiefs but I doubt he could be a full time starter. It still ranks lower than the other needs.
Re-sign
Dwayne Bowe, Brandon Carr, Ryan Succop, Jared Gaither, LeRon McClain, Jackie Battle (?), Ryan O'Callaghan (?), and Amon Gordon (?)
Release
Andy Studebaker, Barry Richardson, Jovan Belcher, Reshard Langford, and Donald Washington
Sign
DE Darnell Dockett, DT Red Bryant, FS Gerald Sensabaugh, WR Verran Tucker
Draft (Assuming the Chiefs have a top 10 pick)
1. Vontaze Burfict ILB-Athletic ILB who would be a great complement to Derrick Johnson. Great in pass defense, big enough to shed blocks, and can be readily used in blitz packages.
2. Desmond Trufant CB-Tall, physical, and intelligent cover corner who will be an asset when facing 3 and 4 WR sets.
3. Winston Guy Jr. S-Safety depth
4. Brandon Washington OG-OG depth
5. Alex Hurst OT-OT depth
6. Anthony Miller TE-Great blocking TE weighing 260 lbs
7. T.J. Graham WR-4.36 40 yard dash? Nuff said.
