The Kansas City Chiefs host the Denver Broncos today and KC is a slight favorite here at Arrowhead Stadium. If there's one thing we know about the Chiefs, it's that they're just as capable of putting up a great day as they are a miserable day.
I have a feeling this is closer to a great day than a miserable day. Here are my five predictions on the game:
Two sacks for Tamba. In his last two games against the Broncos at Arrowhead Stadium, Hali has a combined five sacks. In fact, he has 6.5 sacks in four career games against the Broncos in Kansas City. I expect that trend to continue and Tamba picks up another two sacks today.
Tim Tebow stays under 50 percent completion percentage. In his last four starts, Tebow has not completed more than 50 percent of his passes. That continues today as the Chiefs play well against the Broncos passing offense. I don't think Tebow surpasses 200 yards passing today.
But Tebow is able to rush the ball against the Chiefs. I don't know what it is but it seems that quarterbacks that can move well end up hurting the Chiefs. Part of playing Tebow and that read option is staying home and being disciplined. At some point, the Chiefs get out of position and Tebow hurts them. I say Tebow has 75 or more yards rushing today.
Jackie Battle gets his legs back. 119, 76, 70, 40. What are those numbers? Jackie Battle's rushing yards in the last four games. Obviously, he's trending the wrong way. The Broncos are 15th against the run but Battle is able to get over 80 yards rushing today.
Chiefs win. Yes, the weekly tradition of me picking the Chiefs to win. The final for today's game is 24-20 in favor of the good guys.
