Leigh Bodden Says He Almost Signed With The KC Chiefs

Interesting stuff coming from Ian Rapoport of the Boston Herald who interviewed former Patriots CB and current free agent Leigh Bodden.

The KC Chiefs reportedly brought Bodden in on a visit last week but we didn't hear anything after that -- they didn't sign him and, as far as I know, Bodden hasn't visited anywhere else.

And now we have a reason why the Leigh Bodden watch is quiet -- Bodden tells Rapoport he was hurt, or is hurt right now. He had a herniated disc, which went undiagnosed in New England.

Bodden was "about to sign with the Chiefs", according to the interview, but he told the Chiefs he thought he was hurt. From there, he discovered the injury.

So NE didn't cut him due to injury?

Or NE saw the injury and didn’t tell Bodden about it? Or maybe Bodden knew about the injury, but tried to get signed anyway until his conscience kicked in…

or maybe i should read the article that probably answers my question… :)
