When I was standing by the locker room shortly after the Kansas City Chiefs Monday Night Football victory and heard a loud cheer, I assumed they were giving away game balls to the players. Maybe they were but a few game balls weren't handed out until today.

The Chiefs announced that Clark Hunt and Scott Pioli dedicated 10 commemorative game-issued balls to....Chiefs fans. Indeed, those out at Arrowhead last night have been rewarded with a game ball.

The catch is that 10 game-issued balls will be auctioned off this week with the proceeds benefiting the Joplin Relief Fund. ESPN ran a pregame special last night about some of the Chiefs' involvement in Joplin.

Anyone going to bid on one of these?
