Yesterday I posted my trick post, sorry the only treat of the day was unplugging the Bolt's on MNF, maligning a beloved player on our team. That said player was Tamba Hali. I laughed my ass off seeing the virulent defense of him and only wondered about where was the love for another pretty good player. Last night we saw several pretty good players on the Chief's, but I am only going to discuss one. Whom is he posting about? Take the jump and find out.
Quarter Back Matt Cassel is who. I for one, and there are just a couple of others here who have been espousing the attributes of Matt, showing him the love though thick and thin, while most have been on the bus with the crowd trying to ride Cassel out-of-town. We are still going to have hater's regardless, but listening to a couple of SB winning QB's in Dilfer and - Young, who by the way is in Canton at the HOF, saying loud and clear what a good QB that he is. It was icing on the cake to here Jaw's saying the same thing. Then to have a highly respected HC in Gruden saying similar good things about our QB and I wonder where is the love for Cassel? Here we have a HOFamer in Young, 2 other QB's who went to the SB and a head coach, all respected NFL contemporaries of Cassel, showing love and Matty's home fan base is mostly negative.
So face up to it my friends Matt Cassel ain't goin anywhere, and the more tomorrows you waste hatin him is less time you have to figure out this team. Speaking of this team, it's lookin up here in the Kingdom of Red and Gold. A good nucleus, playmakers across the roster and some pretty fair coaching. There are quite a few superlatives that could be attached while discussing this team and what they accomplished, but HOT DAMN am I proud of em. Keep on inflicting that Chief's will boys. Not only overcoming giving up the lead while having it the entire game, but to step up and WIN this game in overtime is going to pay dividends in the future. Go Chief's!!!!!!
