Len Dawson's Monday Night Football Intro Video
Since Hank Williams Jr. is no longer with the Monday Night Football crew, ESPN has been asking past players to narrate the introduction to the show.
Last night, on Halloween, former Kansas City Chiefs great Len Dawson was asked to narrate the introduction. The video is above and here's what Lenny said:
Shadows of a glorious past... whispers of a storied legacy... yet the memories of that age still live.At the start of the season, we buried ourselves.
But we clawed our way out of the darkness, with the will to survive.
Now, the spirits of great Chiefs past and present are in the air tonight, All Hallows Eve.
Kansas City will rise again... on Monday Night Football.
H/T Clay Wendler.

It's a lot different watching it AFTER they win...:)
BTW Did we just beat two winning teams in a row? Or did they lose to us?

But chiefs won :)

That's a Sunday Night game, isn't it?
I thought our only other Monday Night game was in New England.
(For the record, I’d like to see Pioli, Bellichick, Brady and Cassel all do that one together. And then have the Chiefs beat them to go to 7-3.)

Wow.
I couldn’t hear the intro last night as the bar hadn’t adjusted the sound yet, but that’s just awesome. By the way, for the time being, Switchfoot’s song “Dark Horses” is the song that really describes this season for me.
Sweet!
When I saw this last night I thought it was pretty dope, some great shots and to have Dawson do the intro was just awesome. Thanks for posting this so I don’t have to go search for it to put it on my fb!

And that intro was fitting to the outcome of the game.
The Chiefs had to fight through BS calls and a stuttering offense. They had to stand strong in the face of adversity, and perseverance paid off…
And of course we got a little help from Derrick Thomas’ ghost or something.

I wore my DT jersey for the first time last night
It just felt like the right time.
We're the same team as last year, except incredibly better, and with new players.

Every time is the right time for a DT jersey.
Speaking of DT, anyone else think that ankle tackle sack of Hali’s looked a bit familiar? I loved it, nostalgic and just enough force that you could tell Rivers had to go down, or Tamba would have torn his foot off.
Even better, later on Houston followed suit in a tackle on Mathews.

Meh...
I don't only want to stand out here when we get our asses kicked... I like to stand out here when we kick somebody else's ass... Big Win, Big Win ~ Todd Haley
