Not a bad showing for "Mr. Preseason" today. He could be a weapon for us moving forward. Those play action passes started to work much better, and our draws even seemed to have a little more punch.
Hopefully he's ok!

He seems like exactly what we need. And coincidentally exactly what haley wants his "primary running back" to look like
Tough, fights for yards, quick, makes defenses bite.
Nasty combination with the potential our passing game has

Well you are a believer dude...
I remember saying this to you in regards to Battles preseason play:
A running back should be able to break tackles.
Did he break tackles last Friday?
Did he run with burst?
Did he put his head down and run over people?
Did he run with purpose?
Battle was bad, and he fumbled… he will have to play a lot better to make up for his abysmal performance last week. Can he? I don’t know.
He played soft as medicated cotton in the preseason, but he found another gear against the Colts on Sunday. Maybe he was one of those guys that needed the extra conditioning time.
The point is, he played well in his moment to shine and did all of those things listed above. Good call.
meh...
