Alright, a different angle on things here.
Apparently nobody is going to stop talking about Luck. So how about this - we have tons of cap space that people keep complaining about. What if Pioli intends to get Luck - no matter the cost in draft picks. We finish wherever we finish, and sell the farm to trade up for Luck next April.
The big caveat in all this is that we spend big in next year's free agency to fill holes that might have otherwise gone to draft picks - because we'll have all that cap space to do it. So we still plug holes all over the roster, AND, get the QBOTF.
Madness? Maybe?
