FREE HUDSON!!!

Standing on the corner in a white Godfather hat. He drives a long black gangster Cadillac. He can steal a broads mind, man, in three or four minutes. It’s not how long you talk, brother, it’s what you put in it.

I'd agree with that

Weigmann is fine but he gets overpowered a lot.

Insert witty yet thought provoking phrase here.

mixed feelings

I still feel like the old man gets it done most games

Lilja seems to be struggling a bit

but, I like Hudson as the C of the future

I agree

After watching Niswanger play, I appreciate Ol’ man Casey that much more. I’m a treehugger when it comes to Wiegy playing center.

The way Breaston played is a gift and a curse

The gift is obviously he has brought more receiving play opposite of Bowe since Tony Gonzales with the Chargers and Vikings games, the curse is if Haley wants to get an ego and put Baldwin in the doghouse when he’s healthy…Breaston is good enough to risk it in his eyes. Most logical human beings would say 3 receivers are better than 2, but Haley hasn’t really be a man of logic lately so this would be a perfect opportunity to continue that streak.

by JC25FoMVP on Oct 4, 2011 4:10 PM CDT via mobile reply actions

Where is the evidence of a healthy Baldwin in the doghouse?

And since when has Haley displayed a lack of logic and ego as you described. Seriously just asking.

Haleys logic

And since when has Haley displayed a lack of logic and ego as you described. Seriously just asking

Hmmm, lets see…..

Haleys logic Larry Johnson and Kolby Smith were better rb’s than Jamaal Charles

Haleys logic Mike Goff was a better RG than Wade Smith

Sean Ryan anyone?

Continuing with Thomas Jones in any capacity (171 carries/484 yds 2.8 ypc last 14 games) especially delayed draws which work with players with SPEED, which Jones has NONE.

John McGraw even having a roster spot.

Haley ignoring ex Jets starting fights with younger teammates, you think TJ was the first? Try Keyshawn Johnson fighting Antonio Bryant in Cowboys camp 2004, who was their position coach again?

hmmm

Haley appears to do what is best long term for the team…Charles in the doghouse worked out pretty well…Bowe worked out pretty well…Johnson being second string worked out pretty well…seems his logic worked there….you are comparing something when he was a position coach? Give it a rest at least for one week

Charles was not in doghouse

Great revisionist history though. He was playing, getting his obligatory 3-4 carries per game while LJ got 20 chances a game to un into his blockers. Only after Twittergate and Kolby Smiths injury was Haley forced to turnto Charles to save himself.

The history I remember...

Is Haley didnt play Charles until he learned to hold onto the ball…dont forget Savage…

by groundedchevy on Oct 4, 2011 9:13 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions

He was playing Charles

29 carries 152 yds 1st 8 games of 2009. He clearly trusted hm as a change of pace back.

As for his “fumbling problem”

http://www.nfl.com/player/jamaalcharles/925/careerstats

1 fumble in 2008

2 in 2009

Adrian Peterson had more in Sundays game. Again, Haley was too STUPID to realize the talent underneath his own nose and would rather bang his head against a wall aka as running Larry Johnson for 2 yd runs. Mike Goff/Wade Smith was another HUGE example of this.

Amazing if not for Charles Haley may well already be out of here. Lets see the Haley-Muir sans Weiss offense in 20 games has produced a whopping 30 tds, 5 of those againsty prevent defenses. Yep, your right Haley is an offensive gurur.

When did I say he was an offensive guru?

All I said is he gets the best out of his players like a head coach should.

http://www.arrowheadpride.com/2009/11/30/1178975/chiefs-rb-charles-already-passes

There are a few posts of Haley having problem with the way Charles covered up the ball. I don’t know if you watch college football but do you remember the Texas Oklahoma game with Charles on the Longhorns? Haley wasn’t too stupid to realize what he had. If it wasn’t for Haley putting Charles in the dog house and making stick to the fundamentals Charles would not be a top 3 back in the league right now.

lack of logic this season alone

Putting Bill Muir at OC

Total lack of contact throughout training camp

Bitching about the Ravens running up the score in a evaluation game

Jonathan Baldwin gets injured in fight and instead of addressing it immediately he pussyfoots and throws his 1st pick under the bus for a few days letting the media berate him

Matt Cassel getting 0 passing attempts in the preseason opener

Waiting until the 4th game of the preseason to give the starters PT against a team who is on your schedule. He pretty much said, “here is some game tape for ya GB oh and don’t be afraid to let ur no name 3rd teamers take shots at our franchise players.” Tony Moeaki gets injured.

Letting Jerheme Urban lineup in a 3 receiver set

Not giving LeRon McClain any carries especially when at the goal line

Not picking up Steve Slaton directly after Charles was injured

Its only been 2 months of football activity and he’s made plenty of boneheaded moves

by JC25FoMVP on Oct 4, 2011 10:17 PM CDT via mobile up reply actions

Hmmm...

Last time I checked Pioli was the GM and coaching and personal decisions were up to him.

Honestly I thought his offseason idea was the best in the league due to the shortened off season. Obviously it didn’t work the logic behind it was sound. But you can’t tell me those ACL tears were from lack of contact. Actually they would have probably happened earlier if it wasn’t for the way Haley handled the off season. It was bond to happen regardless of what Haley did.

Urban wouldn’t have to line up if it wasn’t for Baldwin/Charles being out…

Agree that McClain should get more carries.

Steve Slaton really? Have you watched him play the last few years? Oh and btw last I checked Pioli is the GM not Haley…

by groundedchevy on Oct 5, 2011 9:22 AM CDT up reply actions

Yeah it was the best offseason in the league

besides:

The lack of contact causing ridiculous amounts of fumbles
The lack of contact causing the D to have the most missed tackles in the NFL
Not giving your QB some time to get back in football shape
Putting your 1st stringers out there as target practice in a meaningless game which resulted in the season ending injury of Moeaki and broken ribs to Cassel

Haley is not the devil, but he’s far from God and too many people on here treat him as such.

by JC25FoMVP on Oct 5, 2011 5:55 PM CDT up reply actions

Fast forward to October 5th Mr Steve

Haley also said that Baldwin would be practicing some on special teams this week.

“That’s an area where we do need to play to the full potential, on special teams, and he would be competing with a bunch of guys to make the game day roster spot, if he’s good to go by the end of the week.”

Like i said, Haley hasn’t been a logical man lately. Putting a first round 6-5 WR on ST duty???

by JC25FoMVP on Oct 5, 2011 6:08 PM CDT up reply actions

I hope Baldwin plays this week

He’s been practicing the past couple weeks and has been catching passes in warmups the past 2 games. This would be nice to get a sample size before the bye.

Men succeed when they realize that their failures are the preparation for their victories.

So Baldwin

IS playing, or he IS going to play, at least sometime next year maybe?
