Fantasy Football Week 8 Sleepers: Kansas City Chiefs Edition
Make sure you check out SB Nation's Fantasy Football hub for a much more comprehensive Week 8 fantasy football outlook.
Fantasy football sleepers picks are harder and harder to come by each week in the NFL. More players are figured out by fans as the weeks go by and many of the backup-to-starter picks have already been picked up.
When talking about which Kansas City Chiefs players could be sleeper picks this week, that's a tough question. I don't think you can put any Chiefs' player up there in the top five of sleeper picks this week. But if you have to have a KC player on your roster this week, more than likely rookie WR Jonathan Baldwin is available in your league.
I'm not predicting that Jonathan Baldwin will score 20+ fantasy points against the San Diego Chargers this week. But I do think Baldwin could sneak out of the slot for a couple of catches and potentially a short touchdown. Dwayne Bowe has owned the Chargers in recent years so expect Baldwin to get the least of the coverage from San Diego. Steve Breaston's recent upswing only helps Baldwin's sleeper case.
Anyone else on the Chiefs roster you see worth picking up this week? Too bad you can't sign CB Brandon Flowers to an offensive spot.

Took the words out of my mouth
loved seeing them use him like that.
We ride together, we die together, Chiefs fan for life!
Especially after we stopped their wildcat
And then we run it once, untouched for 6. God I loved that game!
I don't think arenas has ever gone done after fist contact
Tough times never last, but tough people do.

Chiefs fantasy value in order:
Bowe
Battle
Chiefs D
Breaston
Cassel
McCluster
I was once fired from a job two days after I waited on Matt Cassel and his wife Lauren Killian. Totally my AP moment to remember. Unfortunately also one of my stupidest moments.

Against the chargers this is pay back we had them in san diego I would love to see baldwin get his first td.

Baldwin may surpirse!
He finally got onto the field last week. There isn’t much being said about him, as he isn’t even number 3 on the depth chart, but that is exactly what may allow him to have a good game. I still like his potential. He can be quite valuable in the red zone, with his size, and also may contribute more than many think this week. I’m starting Battle, in a couple of my 5 leagues, and I also am in an IDP league, so I am starting Flowers and D.Johnson. Bowe has been very productive for me on 3 of my leagues. We drafted this due first for a reason, and if he can become a real threat, our passing game just improved quite a bit.
The Chargers just aren’t dominating teams this season. They haven’t beaten a team with any better record than we have, Rivers has never been this inconsitent and interception prone, since maybe his rookie year, he and V. Jack aren’t hooking up as much as normal, and Gates still struglles with injuries, almost weekly, and I doubt he will be 100% all season. It sounds like Tolbert is out, so that means Matthews will pretty much have to shoulder the rushing attack alone, and Rivers also loses a valuable option tp pass too out of the backfield. The Chargers window is closing rapidly, and they never were able to toally take advantage of their dominant years. It is very possible that the Chiefs and the Raiders will battle for the division title, this season, and maybe even next. If the Chiefs can maintain balance on offense, control the clock, score early and force Rivers to beat them by virtually eliminating the threat of the running game, we will win this game..
There once was a man from Nantucket......Nevermind.
I've never played with individual defensive players
but that sounds fun as hell. Maybe a little bit more work than I want to put into fantasy, but awesome that it exists nonetheless.
