The National Football League informed the Chiefs on Wednesday that CB Brandon Flowers has been named AFC Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts in a 28-0 win at Oakland (10/23). It is the first Player of the Week honor of Flowers’ career and the second weekly accolade for the Chiefs in 2011.
