Terrell Owens Workout Going Down Today

Free agent WR Terrell Owens is hosting a workout for NFL teams today after spending the last six months recovering from a torn ACL and, no, I don't think the Kansas City Chiefs are going to be interested (though I've been wrong before).

First, the Chiefs are set at receiver this season. Second, Todd Haley has a history with T.O. So, no, I don't think the Chiefs will be interested.

I think the larger question is whether any team will be interested. Drew Rosenhaus has been touting T.O. saying he's 100 percent healthy and ready to sign with someone but I don't know who would sign him at this stage of the season.

I think it'd have to be a contender who needs a boost in the second half of the season but, even then, would T.O. be worth it? Physically, he can still help as he showed last year with 72 receptions, 983 yards and nine touchdowns. The rest of the baggage T.O. brings may make you think twice, though.

“Hey ya’ll I need a job. I’m healthy now seriously. Tell you what… you come to me and I’ll workout for you to prove it. Seriously, just fly out here to Cali and I’ll make it worth your while.”

Not really new

since he threw to him last year.

The Titans!

They were off to a great start with Britt and have fallen off since then. I could see him landing there.

by ChiTownChiefs on Oct 25, 2011 11:30 AM CDT reply actions

My fantasy team would be dominant if Britt hadn't gone down

I’m leading my division as it is… Oh, what could’ve been… (sigh)

I love my wife, my kids, and the Chiefs. In that order. Except on game days.

by MNchiefsfan on Oct 25, 2011 11:35 AM CDT up reply actions

We can all comisserate together.

I lost Jamaal and Britt in back to back weeks, and now awaiting the verdict on McFadden. And now Santana Moss Oh and Hillis has been spotty at best for action. And Josh Freeman blows this season. Pretty much my team is Dwayne Bowe and the Ravens D.

You can't spell Power without Powe.

You should pick up Carson Palmer...

I mean with the good luck and all that you are having.

Go Chiefs!!!!

Yes.

Always some team not smart enough to learn from history.

Surely someone will sign him, right?

72 recs, 9 TDs last year? If that was any other player someone would’ve signed him on the first day of free agency. I’d only root for him if he went to Baltimore to help Ray Ray win one more ring.

Baltimore is loaded at WR though.

When Lee Evans comes back, there is no room for T.O(ld).

Hate to say it...

but alot of teams need WRs (including the Chiefs)

He’ll probably land somewhere and I’m sure the Raiders are first on that list

by Screamer on Oct 25, 2011 12:06 PM CDT reply actions

Our first round pick was a healthy scratch for two games

Because we didn’t want to mess with the cohesiveness of our WRs or STs.

The Chiefs don’t need WRs.

by Tomahawk29 on Oct 25, 2011 12:09 PM CDT up reply actions

You misspelled one game.

Chiefs could use some depth at WR, but Owens is not a depth guy. He’ll cry like a little schoolgirl if he’s not the main guy.

by Tarkus on Oct 25, 2011 12:14 PM CDT up reply actions

I did... didn't I?

OK… one game.

And still, we don’t even really need depth at WR. Colbert has shown he is capable, so after Bowe, Breaston and Baldwin I think we’re ok. Even if one got injured we’d still have 2 legit starting WRs.

I might die laughing if OAK takes him.

Hell, they’re in the neighborhood. It wouldn’t be far for them to go to the work out.

Please God… make it happen.

by Tomahawk29 on Oct 25, 2011 12:10 PM CDT reply actions

There's no way though.

T.O. was one of the reasons that Palmer decided to “retire.”

by ARROWHEADSHANE on Oct 25, 2011 12:22 PM CDT up reply actions

I think the Titans are a likely landing spot.

They lost Britt so they could use him on a one year deal. They are in contention and it would help take pressure off of CJ (No K). T.O. is in financial trouble too, so he would probably take whatever he could get. Also, T.O. usually stays under the radar for the first year of his contract, so I think a one and done with the Titans is logical.

Rosenhouse is an idiot though to put it out there that “T.O. is in the best shape of his life.” That was his quote last week. I’m sorry, even without the knee injury, it’s impossible at his age to be in the best shape of his life. Stupid!

for this:

CJ (No K)

All that money is heavy, makes it hard to run fast.

by Spiderwomn69 on Oct 25, 2011 12:24 PM CDT up reply actions

Exactly.

They should have written him a check instead of paying him in quarters.

hes showing to be a bit of a two year wonder. I still think they ran cj into the ground, they should have kept lendale white

he at least took some of the carries away.

this is why todd haley is a lot better of a football coach for today’s nfl than jeff fisher(and I do like fisher), but haley knows that this is now a multi back league, so why not use your back at full health, full stamina, when the defense are the ones huffing and puffing

Team Pioli/Haley. Decade of the Chiefs.

either the Jacksonville Jags or the Baltimore Ravens,

if either of you saw that game last night you know exactly why.

by rdc on Oct 25, 2011 12:37 PM CDT reply actions

I wouldnt even mind if we took him

His ego is out of control but have to admit dude can play some ball even at his age

Would also be worth it just for someone to tell Cassel he sux when he is sucking maybe thats what he needs lol

by BackFire on Oct 25, 2011 12:41 PM CDT reply actions

Good luck today Terrell

I hope he finds a team after today.

I think Thomas Jones would have better success in Bodybuilder competitions than he is havin right now in the NFL!

So T.O. is gonna go situps in his driveway again

Men succeed when they realize that their failures are the preparation for their victories.

He looks out of shape

Don’t get me wrong he’s still ripped. But he is out of breath already, and he hasn’t really done anything yet

He's done

I don’t think there is anyway he plays again.A serious injury, age and attitude make it unlikely anyone signs him.To many young players out there with more upside(i.e Victor Cruz ,Anthony Armstrong)to develop

I think the raiders will sign him

there’s no way we sign this guy is there

by niageriannit1 on Oct 25, 2011 2:45 PM CDT reply actions

I'm sure wherever TO lands

he will be productive with a side of mild controversy.

meh...
