To Stay the Course

Do we continue to look for the so called "right 53" and stay the current course that has been set by Pioli? Theirs also the possibility to jump on "SFL" bandwagon, which besides Indy are 2 wins still don't put us out of the top 5 right now. Or is it time to just realize that Herm was building a Championship team here?

I'll start with AP's favorite topic the "SFL Movement"! Although I would never cheer too throw games, I can understand why some fans would jump @ this chance! I've read enough from the fans here that we all believe we need to draft a Franchise QB! I see where MR. Luck looks like the New Manning. That idea alone gets my imagination going.

Could you imagine 2013 with Charles,Bowe, Luck?  I'm giving Charles a full season to recover, Bowe to resign, and Gives Luck  a year of experience, because we know we would have to cut Cassel or trade him(unlikely). I also understand Luck could come in and pull a Ryan Leaf, doubtful, but you do have to consider this option. If he was to pull a Leaf, that would set us back, which I really wouldn't wanna see! We could also be sitting in the 2014 Superbowl! The real Question, does the Long-term idea of Matt Cassel Lead us to a Superbowl, or should we try something different now while we have most of our play-makers under contract?

Now to the hard one for me, I'm not sold on Pioli's talent evaluation at this point!  I believe Herm built this team to what it is today, you can credit Haley with Bowe, but Bowe was good before. You can aslo say the he just matured into this type of WR either way. I can see Haley being the driving force behind DJ's play.  But I can credit Herm with this team, He drafted most of our top Players, besides Berry( Which given the same choice I feel would be the same). If Herm was still here we probably wouldn't have Matt Cassel, but by we prob would of drafted a QB sooner then Stanzi. I also feel that Pioli hasnt brought in enough players to make a impact. If you give credit to Haley for the teams play, I cant give much credit to Pioli for anything other than Berry!

That Brings us to the so called "Right 53" I have hated this phrase from the start, it implies that theirs a wrong 53 IMO. I know when Pioli arrived we weren't the greatest team, our record showed that. But I'm yet to see the so called improvement/the patriot way here in KC. I have seen us bring in ex-players related to either the Patriots or Cardinals. I've seen us let go a great O-lineman, and a spark on the DL this past offseason. I haven't seen him improve on this team besides the addition of Berry. Dex could be a weapon but hasnt been. Arenas has been decent, Jackson a bust IMO. It's hard to judge our 2011 draft class, besides Houston  I havent seen any impact. I'm not a big believer in wasting money on players with big names, but you can't tell me their hasnt been FA's that could improve this team!
