65 Toss Power Trap- my response to all the Chefs fans...OK 5-11

I’ve read all of the follow up posts and the one thing that is evident is that we are a group of very passionate fans for our team. I give you that much. For those that believe I am not a true fan for “predicting” an unsuccessful if not potentially disastrous turnaround season let me state this I actually was in front of the TV on January 11th 1970 and witnessed the only championship this team has ever had in KC and it was the greatest feeling a KC football fan could ever have…Some of you were probably still in grade school or diapers or not even here……but let me express this..there is nothing I would like to see more in my lifetime again than for this team to win the Lombardi Trophy. In my 41 years of following this team I have seen EVERYTHING….all the quick and few playoff losses and exits and the “wear a bag over your head seasons”…I have earned the right to criticize and be facetious…including saying that GB would score 60 on us…You see fellow Chef fans the harsh reality is all NFL teams have great athletes… but winning “it all” is an “expectation” and “organizational culture” this team has never had except maybe when HOF Coach Stram was here and brought the only ring… “matriculating the ball down the field” …everything else including all your excuses means nothing…When I see the posts of fans saying they would be happy at 8-8 or 7-9 this season I have to laugh… accepting mediocrity is a contagious disease…and currently is has plagued this franchise for decades….Let me pose the question is winning the expectation in New England or Pittsburgh or Green Bay? Call Belichick what you want but did anyone watch the special " A Football Life" For that matter is Coach Tomlin and ownership in Pittsburgh going to accept mediocrity for a Steelers franchise? They all may slump but the “culture” remains in tact…The Chefs recently made a come from behind victory on the road with a Peyton-less Colts…Do you really think that KC wins in Indy if Manning was there and played his best? I recall a Colt-Chief playoff game where the Colts and Manning did not have a punt the entire game…talk about embarrassing…I leave you this…Coach Belichick was 18 years old the last time this franchise won the Lombardi Trophy..The ONLY reason they play the game…Until then they will remain my “Chefs” still searching for the winning culture…
