Inexplicably, Tim Tebow is a candidate for NFLN/GMC "Never Say Never Moment" of the week. Y'know, as in "Never say he'll never pull off the win." Kind of like Matt Cassel actually did...

Tebow doesn't need God
he has the media falling over themselves just trying to cling to a glimmer of hope for him. Excuse me, I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

What's funny...
Is a lot of his supporters act like the media are all out to get him, and want him to fail. Downright hilarious.
Chiefs now 2-3: Suck on that, Luck suckers!

Come on guys, he did look ok after 3 3 and outs. It'll take time to adjust.
I don’t mind Tebow. Plus, they really should see what they can do with him since Orton was nearly useless.
I guess I don’t buy the whole you must be a traditional QB in the NFL stuff.

That is an absolute joke

Wow... Chiefs overcome a 3 score deficit and don't make this list?
And Tim freaking Tebow does? Who didn’t even win??? I thought that was the whole point of the “never say never” award.. to overcome difficult odds and WIN the game?
Gross.
I watched the Broncos/Chargers game here in LA.
Seriously, the Bronco faithful who are clamoring for Tebow are delusional. The dude couldn’t hit the broad side of a barn with a pass. He was what? 4-10 in the game? But he runs around a lot, so that must count for something. Cassel is a far more accurate passer. It’s obvious the kid is an athlete, I’m not sure whey they aren’t trying to turn him into Wes Welker.
Toby is in HR, which technically means he works for corporate, so he's really not a part of our family. Also, he's divorced, so he's really not a part of his family.
They arent converting him to "Wes Welker" because he only runs like a 4.7 40 and is 50lbs heavier lol.
..We're 1-15 till we're not..
They say the cool is all over me..
On the other hand ...
The team that the Chiefs were down 3 scores to, and that Matt Cassel led his comeback against, is now 0-5 on the season.
The team that the Broncos nearly beat, and that Tebow nearly led his comeback against, is now 4-1.
Not saying I agree, but that might have something do with why the media is considering Tebow’s near-comeback a bit more impressive. Just sayin’.
If Kyle Orton had led the "almost comeback"
you think he would have been on this list? I sure don’t.

Cassel almost comes back against the Chargers, it means he's not clutch.
Tebow almost comes back against the Chargers, it shows how clutch he is.

Didn’t Cassel throw an interception to end the game against the Chargers?

Sure did.
He almost did enough to come back and win.
Tebow almost did enough to come back and win.
Sometimes, I guess almost is good enough?

While it may seem strange as to why a QB who didnt actually comeback was nominated, a couple people have pretty much nailed it
Cassel was losing to a now 0-5 team, and barely came back to beat them.
Tebow was playing a 3-1 team and nearly came back.
Cassel has been starting for how long now, 2 years? Tebow hasnt taken a snap with the starting team since week 16 of the 2010 season. So, it was a bit more impressive to come out, unprepared, against a superior opponent, and come one play (one pass interference penalty that wasnt called) away from winning. Having said that, I was still surprised too lol

I do agree you guys got hosed on the no-PI lack of call.
Your one WR in the back of the end zone took a full on two-handed shove straight to the chest that pushed him about a yard out of the end zone.
Blew my mind that there was no call on that.

He guys
Broncos fan here. I understand your frustration about Tebow’s nomination over Cassel (ironicaly, this is who McDanields wanted to have). That said, if you look at the last quarter of that game, you’ll see how Tebow never gives up on any play. He might not be as good as a passer as many other QBs in this league, but his determination is quite amazing. Be ready to see his name for that nomination more then anyone else.
Congrats on the win last week. More importantly, good luck in your next two games.
PS: I guess both our team are out of the Luck contest.
Broncos fan here, I know go figure right?
While Cassel performed better than Tebow, he performed better against the weakest team in the league.
I understand your frustration, but you guys played the Colts last week, not the Patriots, Chargers, Ravens, Packers, or any other good team this season. Personally, I’m interested in seeing out Cassel does against one of those teams in the 3rd season as a Chief. That’s not a knock, I really want to see it!
Q. What do you call a Charger with a Super Bowl ring?
A. A thief.
Same with all of us.
We want to see him do that against a PIT, or BAL or something.
But right now I’ll settle for him doing it against OAK then SD.
