The Kansas City Chiefs exited Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts with a pair of known injuries -- FB Le'Ron McClain and RB Jackie Battle. McClain suffered a neck injury at some point and didn't return while Battle went down with an injury on his final carry of the day.
We wondered yesterday whether either was serious and luckily it doesn't sound like it is.
Chiefs coach Todd Haley said at his Monday press conference on McClain's injury: "I don't foresee it as being something major."
When asked about Battle, he said, "Same thing."
So it sounds like neither one will be a major issue. Before the Indy game, I would've said McClain staying healthy is more important but after that game Battle is clearly has a chance of becoming a key part of the offense as well.
That's three straight weeks without any season-ending injuries...knock on wood!
