Dwayne Bowe Returns To Kansas City Chiefs Practice
On Wednesday the Kansas City Chiefs signed WR Kevin Curtis while WR Dwayne Bowe was absent from practice. Chiefs head coach Todd Haley said Bowe had an illness and left it at that. Of course this brought up memories of the last time a player had an "illness", missed practice and saw the team sign a player at that position -- Matt Cassel and the appendectomy.
From what we can tell Bowe was simply sick and he was not getting an organ removed, which is good news. Even better news is 810 WHB's man on the ground Danny Clinkscale reporting that Bowe is indeed practicing today.
Whew. The Chiefs have been incredibly lucky (or well conditioned) this year when it comes to injuries so the thought of losing Bowe in the playoffs was enough to make me cringe (a lot).
The bad news is that Brian Waters is not practicing for the second consecutive day. We still have no idea what's up with Waters and, with "illness" meaning anything from stomach bug to an appendectomy, it's hard to predict what's going on.

This is good news, hopefully Waters will be back, he is a veteran and the Chiefs need his experience and leadership skills
But if he doesn’t I’m confident in Asamoah. He may be the best player on the bench.

This pleases me.

Judging from training camp, it seems like Waters kind of gets to do what he wants in terms of preparation. He knows what it takes.
If nothing else...
Maybe Dwayne should just go ahead and shit himself…and nobody will want to cover him.
Chiefs will.
10 + wins in 2010. Chiefs SHOCK the NFL!!! Mark it down.
My guess is...
That they both have / had something akin to the flu. Bowe, being younger, has just bounced back a little quicker. I would bet that they will both be in the lineup on Sunday, as usual.

This
plus, Bowe may have came down with it earlier and not be contagious any more, etc…Waters will be ready to play by gametime if it is stomach virus

Dear Bowe,
Stop eating at Panchos at 3am and you wont miss practice.
Your friend, AD
I'd rather be a free man in my grave than living as a puppet or a slave
nick wright told people(PFT even used him as a darn source) that bowe was "limping heavily" after last week's game
I beg to differ
I wasnt there, and I didnt see bowe limp or not limp off
but I will say I saw the injury spoken of above, and thought he was out for the game….he came back and was even in on our last offensive series….
so….more “truth” that when it doesnt come out that way, is overlooked….yet had bowe been out with an ankle problem, wright is RIGHT….well ….wright is WRONG

Nick Wright has absolutely no information
that we don’t have. He has to split hairs and make up stuff just to seem relevant.
1 Down 1 to go
Hurry back Brian. Course would love to see Asamoah get some reps in playoffs too.
In Todd We Trust!
Gotta Disagree, Mike...
I say stick with the date that brought ya. Would love to see Asamoah get more reps, but not in the playoffs unless it’s absolutely necessary. The playoff game is not the time to give more reps, but I understand where you’re coming from…
2010 Chiefs are on the rise. This is the most excited I've been since 'Nam...
